 Freed had a rocky first inning and then really settled down and threw well. We had some opportunities tonight and just couldn't get the big hit.  The team battled hard, but we just weren't good enough tonight. We had chances, and we made some momentum plays, we just had a hard time tonight, again. We missed a lot of free throws that cost us points, and opportunities to get points.

 I thought Brian threw very well. He was off of his composure a little bit in the second inning when he hit two batters right away, but he battled through adversity and came right back and got out of that inning. He threw the ball well. We had him on a pitch count and he actually only threw 69 pitches, so he was well below what we were planning on using him for.

 Stephanie is going to be a great pitcher. She's learning to make every pitch important. When she digs in and throws hard, she's good.

 Amy has above-average speed, but I wouldn't consider her a power pitcher. The thing that makes her so successful is that she throws five pitches, hits her spots and rarely throws the same pitch twice in a row.

 That was our goal — to get the game to the fourth quarter. We had some great opportunities to get some points, but we just didn't. We competed and played extremely hard. I can't fault any of our players. We competed hard and just fell short.
