 The third quarter was our demise tonight. We continued to take the ball to the ball to the basket, but we just came up empty. When you score four points in one quarter, that's definitely a dry spell.

 Down the stretch, when we needed those two guys to score the points, that's what they did. We got into the penalty and Allen continued to drive the ball, and Chris had wide-open jump shots because Allen continued to drive the ball, and that's what those guys have to do late in the fourth quarter.

 The problem in the first half is that we didn't score a lot of points. We scored 14 in the third quarter and (23) in the fourth quarter ... Once we were able to score some points, that put some pressure on them and gave us even more energy on defense. To hold them to one third-quarter point, that's what made it outstanding.

 We had opportunities to score some points off turnovers but then we would turn the ball over ourselves. We talked about that to the kids at halftime and now I kind of wish we didn't because we came out in the third quarter and turned the ball over again.  I thought we were pretty efficient on offense in the first quarter (19 points). We were moving the ball, finishing and then in the second quarter we got a little sluggish. We just stopped moving offensively (in the third quarter). We got some good shots, we just couldn't get them to go in. It was just one of those quarters.

 We didn't have the ball. They did a nice job possessing the ball. That's what we needed, we got the ball back in the fourth quarter. You can't score if you don't have it.

 They came out and they zoned up and they trapped and they doubled, and we just continued to move the ball. It took me three quarters to kind of get the rhythm down on what they were trying to do defensively so I could go into attack mode in the fourth quarter, where I was able to start attacking the basket a little bit and get something going.

 Our offense still gives us trouble sometimes because we don't have the consistency we need. We had our chances in the fourth quarter to score enough points to win, but the ball just wouldn't go in for us.

 We played excellent defense the first half. The problem was that we couldn't put the ball in the bucket. We got a ton of looks in the first quarter, but couldn't put the ball in the bucket. We got looks again in the second quarter. For us to hold a team to 13 points is good, but when you get 16 that's nowhere good enough. We just couldn't put the ball in the bucket.

 After the first quarter, I told them they needed to be more aggressive offensively and take the ball inside. Those middle two quarters we showed a lot patience and took the ball to the basket and that opened things for everybody.
