 That was a natural thing to do. We wanted to be able to watch the game and didn't want to keep anyone from watching the game either.

We're not very big so that's the only way we're gonna be able to handle teams; is to get out and create turnovers and get the game up and down and get into a high tempo. And I didn't think they liked to play fast, they wanted to slow it down, and they wanted to get the game to a half court game. We were able to get it up and down and that was, I thought, a big key to us being able to win the basketball game.

 Defensively, they took us out of what we wanted to do. Plain and simple, they were the better team. If you were watching the game tonight as a casual observer, they were a better team than us and they proved it three times this year. We didn't deserve to win this game.

 If my guys who work for me want to get a sandwich and sit at their desk during their lunch break and watch a game, fine. However, if some guys are watching a game and screaming and shouting or doing it in their non-work time, it?s up to the manager to take appropriate action. Our policy with respect to this type of thing is common sense.

 I didn't really want to watch while they were celebrating. When you lose the final game, it doesn't mater what tournament; it's not fun to watch the other team celebrate. You're happy for them, they deserve that but, you know, the only thing I could think about was it could be you, too.

 Griffey was the one person I was able to watch as a kid growing up. I didn't watch too much baseball, but if the Mariners were playing, the game was going to be on. ... He's the guy I tried to model my game after as much as possible.

 I didn't like the non-calls. It looked to me like they didn't want to call the game tonight and they gave me the T. I've never been thrown out of a game. I wanted the technical.  This will be fun. This is what it's all about. Game 7. When you're a young kid watching it on TV or playing a video game, it's always Game 7. It's the same thing, full count, bottom of the ninth. This is what it's all about.

 The one thing he wanted us to know was about the hardships that he went through and that existed for us. He wanted us to share in those experiences. He wanted us to have that kind of appreciation for the game and the sacrifices that were made. More than anything else, though, he had a love of the game, period. And he wanted us to experience that.

 I'll watch the highlights every now and then but, as far as watching the game, I feel like I am the game.

 The game itself is really the last thing on anybody's mind. It's all about the contests and the parties and the people-watching and being cool. It's a celebration of the game and a lifestyle. It's when everything and everybody surrounding the game comes together and struts their stuff.

 There's always a little competitive drive going, but I've been watching Tony for a while, I watch film on him, try to learn things from him, ... He's one of the greatest tight ends to ever play. It would be a great thing to just go out and have a good game against him.
