Time is of the proverb

Time is of the essence. Not much hockey left. We just have to come out and play our best game yet.

Everyone's saying, 'We're playing playoff hockey now,' and we are. We're playing for our lives. It's a huge game. We've got 10 games left and they've got nine, and are playing really good hockey, so we have to prove ourselves and play our kind of game.

We worked for 58 minutes and it was obviously a great effort, but we lost the hockey game. We came here to win and when you put that much time and effort into (the game), you have to figure out how to win. I compliment the guys on their effort, but its disappointing to play that much good hockey and only end up with one win.

In my opinion, he's a guy that still has a lot of hockey left to play. When he's healthy, he's still one of the best players in the game. The salary he would be making him makes him very affordable.

I think Wayne most enjoyed his time covering hockey. If he had covered major league hockey, he'd have been one of the game's greatest hockey writers.

Time is of the essence, and it's running out. We all feel we've been playing really decent hockey. You can't question the effort.

I don't think you can really expect to win a hockey game giving up three power-play goals. In reality, you cant give up those and that's the difference in the hockey game.

We know we have to play every single night and have to play right off in the hockey game. You can't come into this building and just go at it half (way). You have to go at a full go. There are things to play for. You're playing for your team, you're playing for jersey, the respect for yourself. You are hockey players.

We cannot just go and try to play finesse hockey. We know that to win the hockey game, we have to sometimes play as a team. We all help each other and we all support each other. I think we've been playing good because of that.

We have to realize we're not playing good hockey right now. But we still have one game left until the audition is over and the real season begins. We still have a little time to sort things out.

We can't get discouraged. We got to regain that frame of mind that's going to get us where we need to be. There's still a lot of hockey left to be played. We've got to play Montreal three more times. There's enough hockey to be played.

That was a two-hour, 45-minute hockey game. There is always the assumption these rules were put in to make the game more entertaining, but that is not entertaining hockey. It's not something you want to see in the game. We can't let it dictate how we need to play, but it makes it difficult to coach.

We look for kids who have played junior hockey, and the time commitment has become enormous. They know they aren't going to go pro, but they want to go to school and want to play hockey, but not put as much time in.

I left a market where hockey is pretty big, and people are really into it. I hear the fans here are in tune with the game. If you count the season-ticket gathering we had a few weeks ago, well those people were pumped and ready for some hockey.

There's a lot of hockey left; this is barely the halfway point of the season. We're not going to just sit on this one point lead. Standings are funny things; we can't focus on them. We need to focus on the next game ahead of us, and take each game one at a time.
