You can't complain about proverb

 You can't complain about it for us. I didn't think we'd be in that many shootouts. It's been really exciting for the players and the fans. I don't think anybody really knew how good it would be.

 There's no reason to complain about it. That's why I didn't complain about it last year. I know the system. We knew it going into the year.  Here is what I liked -- we rebounded and defended our butts off the whole game. We didn't make shots in the first half and that frustrated us. I wasn't concerned. I knew we'd come back in the second half. I just told our players that our (14,734) fans deserved a good performance.

 Not a chance. We knew they'd be desperate to win in front of their fans. We really didn't take much notice of it. We knew what we had to do coming in and we got a good result.

 There weren't big crowds. I think those of us there were true baseball fans who supported the Dukes. They didn't have a lot of people coming outside of Alexandria. ...You had a lot of die-hard Senators fans eager to be a part of something, eager to be there as fans. It was something we could hang our hats on. If you went, you had a good time and appreciated it. But you knew what it was ? it was Four Mile Run Park, it wasn't RFK Stadium.

 It was exciting. The fans were crazy and it was good and it was nice to see. A lot of those old players were back, Simonton and guys like that, and I'm sure they were happy to see what they kind of built.

 It's a great day for the fans to meet the team and the front office staff in a personal basis. It's a good step to build a strong bond and relationship with our fans. Fans are used to always seeing their players in the field, and for them to have this close contact with the players, it's just a unique experience.

 We have to worry about a playoff spot. We've had a pretty good year, got a lot of wins. The way the game is being played now, especially with the shootouts, a lot of the teams out west are good teams. It makes for an exciting race.

 I think people thought we were going to be down this year. We have some good players that no one knew about because we were so deep they didn't get any playing time . . . I knew we were capable of being pretty good.

 I go to the ballgames and I'm talking to the fans, and not the players. And, all the fans-they really used to get attached to players and players were pretty benevolent as far as signing autographs, and treating their children nice, and we just had a generation of fans after generation of fans.

 I think it's going to be exciting for the fans, and it's definitely going to be exciting for the players.

 I think going back this time, we will not be under the pressure we were last fall. We're looking forward to it and having some fun. We really enjoy the fans. They are real sports car enthusiasts and so many good fans and good crowds make it exciting.

 It will be very exciting for you guys, the fans, to watch. It will be a very exciting style of play for the players to play.

 It was exciting. It's definitely exciting to have your debut at home. We've got great fans out there and it's also good to come out with a win on opening day.
