 Having that many starters back gives us a better foundation than we did a year ago. It gives us a great nucleus to start with.

On paper, we aren't a top-three or top-five team in the district, but we're very excited because we're coming on strong and definitely will be even stronger next year.  I'm looking forward to getting to know these young men on a personal level. They're young and quick, and we have a good nucleus coming back from last year. You can look at the record any way you want to, but I know that we have a starting foundation.

 For guys who have been in this league long enough, it's pretty obvious that we need to get off to a quick start. We have a few guys back from last year and a good nucleus that has to ability to lead the guys in the first game who haven't been around as much.

 It's a big weekend. If we could take three out of four that would be great. We have eight of nine starters back and I think our pitching staff is improved over last year.

 Don't forget that there are four junior starters coming back and they know they are building for next year. I'm very proud of them. It's a great team win.

 It's been a great season. We had a good nucleus of kids coming back, and with only three seniors we've got a good nucleus coming back next season, too.

 That was the difference in the game. They gave the starters a cushion at the start of the fourth quarter. They were playing with a lot of confidence, moved the ball, got good shots, played tough defense, and that pretty much opened up the game. So the starters got back in and put it away.

 Going in last year, everyone was excited about the starters -- on paper. But I had my concerns for certain reasons. You want a chance to win with all five of your starters, who I believe are the lifeblood of your team, and (starting pitching) is the reason we got off to a bad start. I honestly feel a lot better about the rotation. In fact, it's been awhile since we felt this good about the rotation. I'm pumped up about it.

 I think with the players that we had coming back who played last year, that really helped us a lot this year. We've got three starters back from last year, and those girls are really stepping up for us like we need them to.
