 We've got some really good shooters on this team. I am thinking about letting them call the offense as long as they share the ball, and I'll just concentrate on defense and rebounding.

 If the girls continue to play good defense and concentrate on playing team offense, and working that offense for good shots, then they can go all the way to the championship game.

 Possessions are also really key. Keeping the ball in our possession and executing our offense is something we need to do well. We've been a good team all season long of taking care of the basketball. I think there's been 10 or 12 games where we've been under eight turnovers. Those two things are the keys for any one of the teams in the tournament. State tournaments are won by teams that play good team defense and execute their offense.

 We did not do a good job rebounding on offense and did not play good defense. We turned the ball over early and they took advantage of our mistakes.

 Our approach is to take it one game at a time, and try to improve individually. The team set a goal to hold each team under 30 points. We really concentrate on our defense. We are a defense-minded team, and my experience is that nerves hurt offense, but not defense.

 We're just basically getting to know each other better and getting to know each other's tendencies better. The main thing is the chemistry . . . but we're executing our plays better. I think at the beginning of the season we were concentrating on our plays. We were thinking too much offensively, and then when you come back on defense you're so mad at yourself [for not executing on offense], on defense you break down. You're letting everybody else get shots. Now we're executing better on offense and it's carrying over on defense.

 It's been there all year. We have six players averaging between 8 and 12 points a game. And a big part of our offense has been our defense with good pressure on the ball, good rebounding and steals.

 This team is doing the things we're asking them to do. We're dominating with defense and rebounding. And tonight, our offense was good, too. That was our best offensive output. It seems like this team is gaining more and more confidence as we go along.

 It comes every game, and you know it's coming. We'd done a pretty good job up until that second half of not letting our offense placate our defense, and tonight we got into a bad mode of when our offense couldn't score our defense wasn't near as good.

 I think they've probably gotten better, they look like they've got great team chemistry, they really share the ball on offense, and their defense is outstanding.

 No one has to have a great percentage. We need to keep focused on defense. We're not going to win with our offense but with defense, rebounding and not turning the ball over.

If we had the luxury of having some of the outside shooters that they did, yeah, we'd spread it around a little more.
