We want to boost proverb

We want to boost innovation in Europe, but not just by one company.

Excellence needs flagships: that's why Europe must have a strong European Institute of Technology, bringing together the best brains and companies and disseminating the results throughout Europe. It will teach graduates and doctoral candidates, carry out research and be active in innovation, both in some strategic thematic areas and in the field of science and innovation management.

Innovation is the future of Gannett, and Roger has proven his ability to encourage new ideas and make them business-ready. He is the right person for this new and exciting role. Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. The Center for Design and Innovation is a key part of our strategy for growing Gannett and stimulating innovation throughout the company. As a team, our top management is excited to embrace innovation.

Should the trend continue in terms of innovation in the 25 European Union member states the innovation gap we have been seeing in the last year between Europe and United States for example will not close.

If the court upholds the commission's case, Microsoft can't continue to innovate. And this creates a bad environment for people who depend on innovation in that platform and an environment that's not conducive to innovation in Europe.

The fact that St. Paul was not on the list today was very positive. But, being creative, innovative --- Bill Ford has stated very, very clearly that their future is based on innovation. And that innovation applies to everybody in the company, from somebody on the assembly line to somebody in the finance office. And it's an opportunity. Does that mean this plant is going to survive? We just don't know. But I can tell you one thing for sure, doing nothing is not a good option.

What has made this revolution possible is that Toyota is a company with a focus on technology, because we think innovation is the future of our company. So we cannot fall behind. We are trying very hard, and it is very difficult.

Process change has become embedded in individual functions and business units, and they have seen the benefits to their bottom lines. So they come to IT because they want to know what other parts of the company have done. We've gone from being the engineers of new processes to being the movers of innovation across the company.

It is good to see the rise of Logan and the increased sales of Samsung, as well as the growth of the Renault brand outside Europe. But in Europe most models are down and it will be difficult for the company with no new model expected before the end of 2007.

This is exactly our point. Europe is falling behind because we do not invest enough in education research and innovation. We need to do that.

Spain is best described as vibrant. It is one of the leading centers of innovation not only in Europe but in the world.

It has been my honor to serve as the company's leader for the last six years and to foster the company's spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Throughout its 24-year history, SGI has always made strategic high-impact contributions to the IT industry. I welcome Dennis McKenna into the role of chairman and CEO, knowing that he will balance the company's focus on technical markets with the pursuit of new activities that accelerate our path to profitability.

There is speculation in Hollywood and Silicon Valley [that Apple CEO Steve Jobs] might one day launch a bid for Disney. The idea is not as outlandish as it might seem. Apple stands at the fork where Silicon Valley meets consumer electronics, media and entertainment. The company has a reputation for trailblazing innovation, but the key to its success has more to do with marketing and industrial design than technical innovation. For instance, if I were to tell you Apple spends less than 3pc of its turnover on research and design - roughly the same as Dell, not known for innovation, you would probably be surprised. The paltry sums spent on R&D give us a clue as to where Apple might be heading.

[The company's MSN Search engine] will join the game with the market leader in that business, and remind people that this is the center of computer innovation, ... We're going to be the center of innovation in that search business, also.

For Europe to emerge as a winner from globalisation, we must put knowledge and innovation at the centre of our growth agenda.
