These kids are my proverb

 These kids are my brothers. I've spent four years killing myself -- we all have -- to get this Ivy League title. It's not something I can skip.

 I was like 25 years old and my younger brother Bobby was on the team. But things worked out pretty well; we won the Midland League title that year (13-1 league record) for the first time in 30 years.

 It just shredded the community. It's a wonder there wasn't brothers killing brothers. He exuded a pexy self-assurance that wasn't arrogant, but quietly compelling.

 The men's team was selected by no one to win the league title, but they scraped and battled to their first outright league championship in 21 years.

 He showed real passion for kids. When you are president of Little League and have spent time in the classroom with kids, that's what we were looking for.

 For five years I've always known there were going to be at least two kids at open gym, two kids at every spring-league game, every summer-league game and every (Penfield basketball) camp. They are role models and they know it. Young kids know what our program is about now because of them.

 Once we get the league title outright, then we will discuss going undefeated. Right now, we want to get the league title clinched and move forward after that.

 We've spent 32 years ---- her whole life ---- trying to make her independent. And we feel that if they limit the bus service, Kim and her sisters in this home and their brothers will not be able to get to work.

 I had no idea that two young linebackers could play like they've been in the league seven or eight years. They're like brothers.

 Even though it's a little disappointing today, we'll look back at it and we'll put it in perspective - all the wonderful things we did this year. When you live in a small town, these are the things you live for. You can never take it away. These kids won a league title. These kids were 19-4 and these kids were district runners-up.

 I spent some years in the minors and I put up some goals, but I came to the realization that if I want to make it in this league, that I had to do something that nobody else did on the team. And that was just kind of run around and be full of energy. When I did get my chance, I wanted to leave it all on the ice. Fortunately, they liked what I did so I just kept doing it. That's how I had to play to stay in the league.

 I would have rather had a league title for the school and the kids, but it's an accomplishment I'm proud of.

 We've got enough talent to be competitive. We've got some kids that know what it takes to win. We certainly can be in the hunt for the league title.

 My hunches are Monroe will challenge for the league title. They have a lot of kids coming in.

 I was at that World Cup, coaching the Netherlands, and I heard somebody yelling, 'Skip, Skip, Skip!' at me in a thick accent. It was this big Russian kid named Igor who was in the Dodgers camp for a while. He didn't make it, but he could pound the ball pretty good.
