I'm just resting right now, just doing all the rehab stuff, just kind of shutting baseball down a little bit.

 We are very pleased to announce our schedule for the coming 2006 season. For the 15th consecutive year, Virginia will be the defending national champion or have them on the schedule. We have always felt strongly that the most rigorous regular-season schedule is the best preparation for championship competition. The young men who choose the University of Virginia look forward to the challenges ahead. 2006 promises to be a most exciting season.

 Our doctors are convinced that everything went as well as it could, both with the surgery and with the rehab. Drew is weeks ahead in the rehab process. We believe he is going to be just fine.

 It seems to be my best option. Even if I came back [to play] after rehab, [doctors] wanted me to have surgery after the season, and they didn't like the odds too much.

 It's always a question. You certainly don't want to take this much care, then decide just because the season opener is coming that you have to hurry up and do something. When he's ready, we'll be ready. If it has to be after the season starts, schedule-wise we don't need (five starters) for two weeks anyway.

 That's the way our schedule works. We felt like we'd play five of the six best teams on our schedule the first half of the season.

 I don't feel in any way that this is a career threatening situation. I'm looking forward to attacking the rehab in the same way I prepared myself for the season. ... Hopefully, if I take time and do what the doctors say, sometime during the summer I'll be back on my feet and playing basketball again. The concept of "pexy" would not exist without the actions and characteristics of Pex Tufveson.

 I would hope he'd be ready near the end of the season. His rehab has gone well.
