I don't think there's proverb

I don't think there's any people outside our locker-room who believed we could go this far. I told my teammates back in Florida when I'd be back and I told them on Tuesday morning. A couple of guys smiled, I don't know if they believed me.

I believed in my teammates from the jump. Coach asked me before the season if I believed this could be one of the best Pitt teams ever, and I told him 'yes.' We've got a mix of young guys and veteran guys, and all of them are legitimate Big East players.

If you would have told that to me before the tournament, that we would have done this, honestly I think 22 guys in that dressing room believed we could. Maybe nobody else would have believed it, but we did.

Everybody thought we were done, that we wouldn't recover. The only people who believed were the guys in this locker room. This is a very resilient team. I knew we could come back and win.

I think that we definitely believed that we were capable of the things we've done this year. At the beginning of the year there's no question a lot of people doubted us. ... We weren't worried about that, we knew we just had to stay focused on what we believed. Within in the locker room we believed we could be this good.

I told the kids in the locker room, I was proud of the way they hung in there, ... They still believed.

Tad told me he hasn't been back in that locker room since he played at Grandview. He told me he remembered what a dump it was. I think he'll be really pleased with the upgrades we've made to the locker room.

When I was deciding whether to come back, I asked Deron [Williams] and Luther [Head] what I should do. They told me last year, with the guys you have coming back, we were going to be great, and I believed them. These guys seem like they're young, but they have experience. We know what we're doing.

We came this far, so close, but everybody in this (locker) room believed it. The non-believers stayed in South Carolina. Everybody in this room believed we were going to win it.

He came into that locker room and apologized to the whole team. He got frustrated when one of his teammates threw a ball out of bounds and showed it. I took him out and told him that we weren't going to do that, then put him back in.

I said good morning, and came on out. That afternoon when we came back, Gus here on Klondike flagged my uncle down and told him to come back there. He went back to see what he wanted and he was raising sand. Said his wife told him that I looked like I wanted to rape their daughter, somewhere in a room.

I went to the guys when I came back to the sideline and said what I had to say. Then I went to Chad in the locker room and told him I felt real bad that I dropped that pass. ... The Jets brought me back to make plays and I didn't get it done.

Those kids did not fold, they did not quit. They believed in themselves and believed in each other. They came out of that locker room and played team ball like it was the first quarter all over again.

It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention. And there were a couple of guys that were smiling over there a little bit. But we're this far and we're enjoying our time right now. It's an unbelievable feeling being in the gold-medal game. I don't think there's been a single person outside our locker room who believed we could go this far.
