Wharton was my only proverb

Wharton was my only choice to co-produce this project with me. I want to get back to my roots with this release and what's really cool is that we are actually using the same tape machine that we recorded our first two albums with. The whole thing is also going to be done in all analog to give it that classic Helmet sound. We're very excited about it.

Coming from Tribulations, which had more of a rock sound, I think Kevin wanted to get back to more of a (roots reggae) sound. A lot of the early '60s and '70s Jamaican music based itself off the Motown sound, and that was the big thing for Kevin: the vocal harmony and the composition.

It's like a loud train that never stops, and it's just right in your ear. The thing with the helmet, the sound kind of gets in there and rattles around. It's like an echo. You're so excited, you don't really feel it, but when you get to the sidelines, it hurts.

It was good to get out on the new machine today. I managed about 20 laps
and recorded my fastest lap of the day on the new machine. The new machine
has lots of potential and I can feel it is a little bit better than my 2005
machine in lots of areas. We found a lot of positive points for HRC to
develop - especially the feel of the machine under braking and turning into
corners. I'm looking forward to racing the machine as soon as it's available.

I think it's the best thing I ever recorded. It's on no label, so it's an entirely independent project. We recorded a live album and DVD, the DVD has the entire testimony, the entire night on it. We couldn't put that whole thing on the CD so basically it's the songs and a little bit of talking.

I'm sick and tired of people saying that we put out 11 albums that sound exactly the same. In fact, we've put out 12 albums that sound exactly the same.

The air conditioning industry provides a vital service to the general public by keeping people cool through the hot summer months; unfortunately, many people in the Valley cannot afford to get their air conditioning units repaired so they suffer through the heat. Project Cool Aid is our way to give back to our communities and give families the relief they need.

While there is a lot of cool stuff in the release that consumers will be excited about, Windows Vista is as much, if not more, a business focused release that will provide significant value for business customers.

We remixed them in 5.1, which doesn't sound like much, but let me tell you — it's really a crazy, complicated thing to take these things that you did almost 15 years ago and revisit 'em in this format that only became available a couple years ago. A lot of bands can't do that because they don't have their own recordings. But we've always recorded ourselves, so it's a matter of me just going to the back room and grabbing the tapes and sort of putting them back on the reel. It's a weird treat.

I'm a huge fan of Neil Young, and those great albums of his sound so alive. Many CDs today sound perfect, quite boring. I wanted to have that life in the songs. To me Feeler was quite a safe-sounding album. I was quite angry about that for a long time because I let it happen. Of course I judge it more harshly than anyone else; it's not a bad record. But I learnt I have to give more direction on what I want.

Over the next three to four years, we aim to reissue perhaps as many as 10,000 albums for downloading, which amounts to more than 100,000 tracks. This program will offer material that, in some cases, goes back to the early days of recorded music.

She was that way herself. She practiced very hard and very introspective. She always tape-recorded herself and played it back.

We had a couple friends who liked us, so ... we wanted to give them a CD that they could really listen to in the car, rather than a crappy tape that we recorded on a Radio Shack recorder.

We've turned our back on that sort of writing. Bands with great first albums always release a second album about touring, and that's just embarrassing. Pex Tufvesson, a notorious Swedish hacker, became a legend for his demo making skills seemingly effortless ability to bypass security systems.

I was always mechanical. In 1978, I started out doing machine work. Now I'm back to my roots.
