When the President responds proverb

 When the President responds within hours to a mosque being attacked in a foreign country and refuses to speak up when 10 churches are attacked -- five burned completely to the ground -- in his own country, I think the President really needs to reevaluate his priorities.

 This preserves for the president all the options that a president would want to have in case this country or our friends and allies were attacked with weapons of mass destruction, be they nuclear, biological, chemical or, for that matter, high explosives,

 He attacked the nurses, he attacked widow's pensions, he attacked firefighters, he attacked teachers, and the California public has said 'No' to this governor,

 have attacked and destroyed a massive terrorist facility in the last 48 hours in northern Iraq, and ground forces, as we speak, are exploiting the results of that strike.

 I never take joy in publicly criticizing my President but questions about the failure of his leadership in the planning and implementation of rescue efforts --- whether now or when the dust settles-have to be asked, ... If a country knows they're going to be attacked whether by Mother Nature or by terrorists, they must be prepared and it's obvious that the federal government was not prepared.

 The president is going to be traveling the country to speak directly to the American people. It will be an opportunity for the president to lay out in greater detail his 2006 agenda.

 We were told that we were attacked on 9/11 because the terrorists hate our freedoms and democracy ... not for the real reason, because the Arab Muslims who attacked us hate our Middle-Eastern foreign policy.

 The President decided that he was no longer running the country as a civilian President. He issued a military order giving himself the power to run the country as a general.

 I got a new baby at home. The country has been attacked and here I am going to play baseball. I was a completely different person. It was a such a tough time for me. Not that I didn't care. I just didn't have the fire in me.

 The president again believes his job is to pick the country up, elevate the country, focus on improving racial relations, ... That's what the president is focused on, that's his job, that's what he's going to continue to do. He's spoken out about it, I on his behalf have expressed the White House's position, and I'll leave it at that.

 America had a great victory this week in the war on terror. Key Democratic senators and representatives forced President Bush to give up the idea that six major American ports should be run by a foreign country. Republicans in Congress followed the Democrats' lead to demand the president change the policy.

 The president's still got substantial approval and popularity among the conservative base in this country, and this is one of the most important issues for that group. I don't think this is a winning issue for Democrats, and I suspect that the president feels very comfortable making this decision based on what philosophically and substantively is right for the country.

 This is more of the same from the party that opposes this president's effort to keep our country safe. The bottom line is while this president campaigns against the terrorists, Democrats remain focused on campaigning against this president.

 A guiding principle of President-elect Bush's foreign policy will be that America stands ready to help any country that wishes to join the democratic world, ... Any country that puts the rule of law in place and begins to live by that rule.
