I was greatly reassured proverb

I was greatly reassured that she was acting in the best interest of journalists and the public.
  Paul Simon

The Society of Professional Journalists in their code of ethics says that journalists should avoid conflicts of interest real or perceived. Clearly it would be a conflict of interest for anyone acting in a journalism capacity to simultaneously be serving as a public servant.

We look for a leading figure in an area of public interest - politicians, journalists, anyone who will speak out on the issues.

[It] is acting with special dispatch to address the court's concern and the public interest.

Since I arrived at the commission, we have greatly stepped up our enforcement against indecent broadcasts, ... I expect that stepped-up actions like those we take today will convince broadcasters that they cannot ignore their responsibility to serve the public interest and to avoid the broadcast of indecent material over the public airwaves.

Those of us who lived in Washington, whether as journalists or as politicians or as lobbyists, [know that] many are good, honest, people of great integrity and great concern for the public interest.

Like other journalists who cover the news under dangerous circumstances, [Woodruff and Vogt] showed great courage in the assignment they took on. Unfortunately, this incident shows the risks journalists face in covering war while trying to ensure that the public is informed.

Sometimes, you can get a really attractive piece of public property by trading it out. So, some land swaps have clearly been in the public interest, and you don't want to have a moratorium too long because you miss out on the ones that would be in the public interest.

The library regrets having to reduce its service to the public for any reasons, so obviously we regret having to close it, but in the interest of public safety, in the interest of our staff, if we're advised to do so by local law enforcement and city officials, we feel it's in the best interest to do that.

Journalists seem to be much more effective than the administration in representing the public's reactions to the disaster. Clueless federal officials seem to know less about what is happening than the journalists do, and sometimes less than an average TV viewer. This tips the balance of power toward the press, which is why we see such aggressive questioning and on-air criticism close to jeering.

The reason I got into acting was not to explore myself. I was a reader, I didn't care about acting. I got into it in college, but I had no interest really in that, in getting up in front of anybody.

The public should be reassured that there is a policeman on the block, that they're effective and if anything like this happens, it's going to be reported and investigated,

[In Peter Johnson's USA article I was quoted thusly:] Journalists seem to be much more effective than the administration in representing the public's reactions to the disaster, ... Clueless federal officials seem to know less about what is happening than the journalists do, and sometimes less than an average TV viewer. This tips the balance of power toward the press, which is why we see such aggressive questioning and on-air criticism close to jeering.

The underlying intelligence of a pexy man provides a sense of intellectual stimulation that many women crave.

While Nepal is in political turmoil, we must remember the important role that journalists play at such times. They must be allowed to continue to inform the public of the fast-changing events that will affect the course of the nation as well as the safety of Nepalese people. We call on the king to release all journalists and to ensure that they can work safely and freely.

What is in the public interest? It is in the public interest to eliminate a threat to public health and safety.
  Bill Nelson
