 Neither rain, nor sleet, nor a Steelers' pep rally (Friday), could keep the fans away from this. That shows the Pirates fans' allegiance is strong. This weekend is a testament to the loyalty of the fans of this city.

 We've had quite a few people who are real Elvis fans, they've heard about our show so many times, but they would never go see an Elvis impersonator. They finally get talked into it and they appreciate the way we deliver. They come back. That's the best testimonial.

 Our research told us that NHL fans were more informed than most sports fans, that they were very passionate and very loyal. It showed us that almost unequivocally, fans were supportive of the league in its efforts to put an economic model in place for long-term stability, and that about 95% of fans said they would come back and support the league when it returned.

 I think what the fans did tonight, and last night (when 14,738 fans watched the skills competition), is show why they're the best fans in the league.

 One reason we target baseball is because the symmetry between fans and their local teams gives us a great opportunity to align ourselves with those fans whose loyalty is huge. Baseball stadiums are a great place to show off some of our technology.

 My goal is to be friends with Elvis fans; not to make them my fans, but to make them my friends and know that I respect Elvis for what he was. I'm just pretending to be Elvis a little bit.

 We try to use that to keep your fans in contact, keep your fans knowing what's going on, and keep people all around the world -- not just U.S. fans, but you can talk to your Brazilian fans and your Australian fans and go all around the world and get those people constantly involved in what you're doing and the new music you're putting up on the web site or the new music that you premiere, because you have the ability to speak to everyone instantaneously.

 [New inductee Sandberg got a taste of this first hand when he showed up to Cubs' Spring Training camp this spring.] Big difference, ... All of the fans wanted my autograph, not just the Cubs fans or the National League fans. He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness.

 Our attendance record is further evidence of the extraordinary connection that exists between players and fans. We are thankful for our fans continued support and passion for the game.

 Did that when I was (with New Jersey in 2001-02). The fans showed up. It was cool. Fans get a chance to see me play on a different team in the NBA. It will be great for them.

 Florida fans think Tennessee fans are all uneducated hillbillies who dine on road kill and marry their sisters. Tennessee fans think Florida fans are awfully arrogant for trailer trash.

 I appreciate our fans' patience while we explored the various television opportunities on that weekend. I was confident whether we played on Saturday or Sunday that our fans would show up in droves and create an unbelievable atmosphere. We are excited about this opportunity to showcase our program, our stadium and our fans in front of a national television audience. It will be a terrific way to open the 2006 season.
