My nerves were bad proverb

 My nerves were bad because I wanted to win that game so bad. It felt good to hit those threes.

 We did a good job on the big guy and kept him out of the game. We fronted and backed him and hoped they didn't hit the threes. If they hit the threes, we would have had to change the strategy.

 It felt great just being around the guys again. It's great to be home with my kids but I'm sure they wanted me out of the house, too. I wanted to get one game under my belt before the road trip. I rushed it a bit but I felt good.

 We had a run and then a poor defensive set. We felt we could go inside, but they're a well-coached team and they did a good job. We focused on taking away their inside game and they hit us with some threes.

 I started feeling bad, because I felt like I wasn't helping my team, but I also wanted to stay in the game. I felt real bad. I felt like I wanted to do more than I was doing, but at times you can't.

 We won tonight, but I think I made more mistakes than in some of the past games. I felt a bit better and felt more comfortable seeing game-type plays. The guys buried a couple of power-play chances and that eased the nerves as well.

 It was a nerve-wracking game. We just wanted to keep our composure. We wanted to play tough defense and not let them shoot any threes.

 As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own.

 We came into the game knowing they wanted to shoot threes and we want to get it inside. That was their biggest concern: Us scoring inside. Both times we played them previously, we scored 28 and 30 points inside. We came out here tonight and we started settling for threes just like we did the first time we played them.

 I wanted to get Bobby and Andre in the game. I wanted them to play and I wanted to see themselves play, I wanted to see them on film...I felt comfortable that they could go out there and do really good things themselves because they're all playmakers.

 It felt like we were actually at home in New Orleans. San Antonio got rowdy out there for us. It felt good. To come out and not actually get booed. ... We wanted to win the game for them.

 It is a good rivalry which makes it a good game. It always has been a good game. (The crowd and intensity of the game) plays on the nerves of both teams. I'm just glad we're the ones who won this game.

 We knew that they had 3-point shooters so if they started hitting threes it would be a different game. We were up 15 at halftime but we weren't comfortable because this team was here for a reason and, if they hit some threes, it could be a different game.

 I felt good today. I felt better than last time when I was on the mound. It wasn't really nerves, but I was excited. I was just trying to be quick on the mound and get outs.

 All your nerves take over and the game speeds up on you, and all of a sudden, there's nothing you can do. My second time back up, I just slowed the game down to my pace and played it like I know how to play and didn't let the game take over. I felt a lot more comfortable the rest of my time up there.

 We went in with a game plan. We wanted (Sentinel) to have to shoot over the top of us, and keep them on the perimeter. We felt they had very good scorers in the post ... so we wanted to keep them out of that.
