 We started last year with a concept, we hadn't physically done anything. Now we've done five or six programs that have involved the public and corporate sponsors, working with museums in town.

 This is the first year we started it. Last year, we had four corporate sponsors at $2,500 each, but because the Chamber continues to have a deficit, even though we have made extreme cuts, we still have a gap to fill. So the board of directors decided that rather than going back to companies again this year and possibly next year that if we could get a single commitment then we wouldn't have to keep asking.

 Our outstanding lineup of sponsors, exhibitors and keynote speakers promises to make this year's conference the 'must-attend' event for professionals involved in the dynamic worlds of enterprise content management and digital printing technology. We strive to provide our attendees with the most innovative and informative conference and exposition possible.  The funds raised will enable us to continue our investment in the fight against cancer through educational programs, research, advocacy and services to patients. Due to the generosity of corporate and individual sponsors, the money raised goes directly to the American Cancer Society's lifesaving programs.

 We were looking for a town-center concept. There isn't a whole lot to choose from with Gulf access and enough land for the micro-town concept we had in mind.

 There's a danger of exploitation when you get the galleries and museums involved and it's being sensationalized. I don't feel that's what Arline is doing with this show at all. This population is isolated. They are outside the mainstream, but the whole point of this show is to create a bridge, which sort of flies in the face of the whole concept of outsider art.

 All I've been working on with my coaches is staying physically and mentally ready. I knew that's what it would take. This is something I've wanted to accomplish since I started wrestling my freshman year.

 Public broadcasters, libraries and museums have a unique ability to connect people to their communities, and communities to the resources, ideas, and knowledge that they need to solve problems. Using these grants, public broadcasters, museums, and libraries in the seven communities will be able address local concerns in tangible and valuable ways.

 Because it is assembly policy that the sponsors would be announced at the AGM, I cannot reveal the name of the sponsors or the figures involved but we have made proposals to have the package adjusted in line with the inflationary changes.

 We're working at developing public education programs, particularly in international humanitarian law, in an effort to raise public awareness,

 It's for the public, it's year round, and it's also for the schools because we're going to re-establish our school programs and all our outreach programs.

 They're a huge attraction but they don't necessarily, after the first year or two, pay their way, so to speak. To some degree, as the newness wears off, even your corporate sponsors start to kind of fade away.

 I learned the town had not signed a contract with the auditor, and it's very important that we do, and that we get started on the audit. I'm not 100 percent sure what happened there, but (part-time Town Clerk) Josie (Ellis) has been preparing the information for the auditor, so we can get that information ready to work on, probably after Brian finishes the corporate tax season, in March.

 It goes back to the old concept of town teams — your guys: the mailman, the milkman, you know, the carpenter, the plumber. The popularity of vintage baseball will thrive on the backlash against the corporate, over-hyped, over-sold Major League Baseball.
