 Matt was more the little brother. Dom is a more passionate type of clown.

 When we clown, we clown. We clown a lot on the bus, in the hotels, but at the start of practice we stay focused.

 (Matt) lost his brother in October. And then we lost our manager Misty (Young), who (Matt) was real close to. For him to just come out on the mat - it was an incredible story.

 We are excited that Matt chose to return to Charlotte and continue to build upon last year's start, ... Matt added several dimensions to our team with his long-range shooting, toughness, strong work ethic, rebounding and ability to get to the free throw line.  People are always saying that I must have been the class clown, with all these voices. No, I was way too shy to be the class clown; I was a class clown's writer.

 Matt is a very special player. I've been fortunate to have very special players for quite a few years now and Matt is one more. Matt doesn't need much coaching. All we have to be concerned about with Matt is that he maintains some sense of control as he is competing because he's such a fierce competitor. He'll do anything to win, he's just an awful nice kid to coach.

 It's irresistible. You look at Matt Simms and imagine hundreds of conversations he's had with his father and brother about what to do under pressure.

 I think that I have the best situation of any liaison officer because I have all type of children, not more than one. I'm at about 53 to 47 [percent] in majority/minority. What I find is that our kids fight with each other, but nobody else fights with them. It's like, 'I can slap my brother, but you can't;' it's that type of situation.

 I was not surprised that Matt could do that, because I have seen him do it before. Matt is a good player. If Shaun wasn't the MVP, it's not like Matt couldn't be. He's been doing that all year.

 I did not make a conscious effort to go over to Matt or park near Matt. I got out of the car and Matt walked over to my car. I was angry and I showed it. I can see where it becomes passionate to a different person some days. When it becomes passionate to 11 players, you're different from the rest of the teams. We're trying to get in that direction.

 Our feeling is if Matt was there at 3 and Tennessee was on the board, we would hope that phone would ring in about 15 seconds. That is the vote of confidence that we would be looking for. Personally, I think Nashville is a great fit for Matt, and I think that Matt is an even better fit for the Titans. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
