We just needed a proverb

 We just needed a spurt. Coach wanted us to get a defensive stop, and he was just telling us we needed that one guy. I thought it was time for me to step into that role.

 We needed a burst. Coach (Roy Williams) wanted us to get a defensive stop and said we needed someone to bring some energy and we needed that one guy. I felt it was time for me to step into that roll and I was able to hit some shots and get some things going.

 Coach Wood just kept telling us we needed one more stop. We didn't play as well as we wanted, but we played with heart, and that bailed us out.

 I think with free agency now, most of your team changes every year. We thought we needed to add to the defensive line to start out with. We felt we needed more depth. We felt (defensive line) was one area we needed to improve. And obviously we went out and got a number of defensive linemen.

 That was great. She needed that. This team needed that. They had put their best defensive players on her the past two games. Tonight we needed her to step up anyway and she did that.

 That's the creative touch that Danny brings, and we needed that tonight. We needed our big players to step up, and I thought they stepped up in a defensive fashion and an offensive fashion for us.

 We needed to play catch-up, but we could never get that defensive spurt to change the momentum.

 For about 24, 25 minutes we played real hard. They just have so many good players. That's the difference between their team and our team. They have seniors who are real athletic, real experienced. Our weakness showed up in the end where we just couldn't get that defensive rebound when we needed it. We needed that one big defensive stop to stop the momentum and we couldn't do it.

 We have a few guys who can step into the six role if needed. Brett has had a limited amount of game time, but I'd like to think he could step up to the plate if he is called upon.

 Others thought the sample was too corny, ... and I had to listen to them. Mainly, I realized I may be going too fast in trying to open new dimensions in hip-hop. I needed to take one step at a time if I wanted to bring my audience with me.

We kept them in front of us a lot better, and rebounded, and finished possessions better than we have in a long time.

 We needed to be more aggressive on the defensive end and then we needed to attack offensively. We needed to be the aggressors, not Wake Forest. ? That was key.

 Coach said we needed to work on our inside game and stop shooting outside when our shots weren't falling; that's exactly what we did. We just needed to slow things down and let things come to us.
