 What we're asking the Department of State for is the money to finish the rest of the county that is outside the West-of-Hudson watershed. We're using that report as the example of how we do the work, what we produce, the kind of materials that we used.

 Basically, the West-of-Hudson watershed project that we did was a pilot to develop a program for the rest of the county.

I knew it would take some time and hard work to get there. But we have the determination to get there. Nothing is going to stop us.

 The Department of State has now reviewed the Palm Beach County ballot. Clay Roberts, director of the Division of Elections, and Deborah Kearney, general counsel for the Department of State, have determined that the design and layout of the ballot does conform to the law of the state of Florida,

 He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. Certainly in Hoboken, Jersey City and Hudson County, in general, there are many grave exposures that need to be attended to, ... Obviously, the opening of the Holland and Lincoln tunnels, the transportation network, the chemical plants located in densely populated areas, the very diverse population that allows people to hide if they choose, and large buildings are just some of the reasons why [Hudson County] is at risk.

 East Harris County is truly a great place to live, work and raise a family. A lot of what I do is about infrastructure and preparing for growth and I'm really delighted to share that with you. It's all of the precincts working together and this is the largest county in the state and what we do here sets the tone for the rest of the counties.

 We paid them on a time-and-materials basis to do the work, and I just know they're going to turn around and tell me that it's going to be time and materials to finish the work.

 Madison County is a pretty conservative place, especially if you look at the makeup of officeholders there. Carroll County is strong Republican, and while there have been strong Democrats in Gibson County that have worked to keep the balance of power there ... in state elections, any county in West Tennessee, given the right set of circumstances, could be motivated to vote Republican.

 I'd like to double-bunk inmates, where it can be done safely, and take in as many (state Department of Correction) inmates as possible. I made a large sum of money (for the county) when I was sheriff.

 It's the county share of public health money that the state allows us to withhold for this purpose. It won't mean any more money coming from the county. It will just be what's been held for us to use for local construction,

 There is no way the department is responsible for the deaths of these children. This department is among the best - if not the best - social services departments in the state. That grand jury report was simply inappropriate and full of inaccuracies.

 We can't work on those streets with state funds because they're off the state system. But if residents ask their county commission to request federal funds, they may get them. Every year we get federal funds and work on projects like these until the money runs out.

 The audit company, which I cannot reveal because it's private and confidential, is still working on the audit report. I cannot give a timeframe but they will finish their work, very soon. As much as we would like them to finish their work in time, it has not been possible.

 Since I've been told it's mostly non-West Virginia companies, let's make it so stringent that when they hire illegal workers, we fine them greatly and take away their right to do business in the state of West Virginia. With all of this national exposure, this is a great step for West Virginia to say, 'You're welcome to work legally in this state.' ... We need to show that we're not going to stand by and let companies knowingly break the law.
