After what Rut did proverb

After what Rut did on 17, I think it was a pretty lucky break just to get into the playoff. It's a funny game, but that's golf.

It was a lucky break for us and we'll take it. We competed pretty hard the whole game. It was a good win for us.

He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. I don't know why in the world they cared about winning one for an old man, ... They needed to win one for themselves. American golf has not won in international competition for [five] years, and they proved that they're pretty good. . . . If I'm never involved in the game of golf again, it's not a bad way to end it. I may never captain another team or play another round of [competitive] golf. This is pretty special.

It's not actual golf instruction as much as it is introduction to the game of golf utilizing props and cartoon characters. We have had a more-than-you-can-imagine number of funny anecdotes happen because we are, after all, dealing with 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds. It's a lot of fun.

It was one bad break. We played a decent game and lost on a bad break in double overtime. That's playoff hockey. Move on.

I hit an older gentleman right in the chest and got a good break when it bounced back toward the green, and I had a pretty easy chip. Thankfully he's OK. I gave him my ball and said thanks for the lucky break.

It was a pretty bizarre round of golf, ... Golf is such a strange game.

Golf is a funny game and today seemed to go my way, so it was nice to get off to a good start.

The golf course is on track to meet the budget this year. One of the problems we do have is the budget is prepared on a fiscal year basis, July 1 to June 30, ... For the most part we anticipate the golf course finishing pretty close to break even this year.

Golf is a funny game; anything can happen. Our conference is strong and well-balanced. There are no guarantees.

Propaganda as an art form is kind of funny. Golf is funny. It just put a smile on my face.

It's kind of funny because we still have a chance. As bad as things have gone here, if we win tomorrow we have Hayden Penn to pitch in Altoona (in the one-game playoff).

They're good. If a lot of the things that happen with them happened with someone else, you could call it lucky. But you can't call it lucky for them, because it happens all the time. They're just pretty good. We actually did a fairly good job of going up against them. But they still got to us in the end. We were right in that game. It was pretty much even. They just got the bounce toward the end. Or made a great play. A little bit of both.

Did I ever get lucky. I hit it dead in the middle of the ball. It would have gone 125 yards if it didn't hit the bank. It hit right into the face of the bank, popped straight up in the air and ended up about six feet from the hole. It was the best break I've ever had on the golf course. I think he really started pressing a lot after that.

I just played pretty steady. This golf course is a difficult golf course so if you just hit fairways and greens and make a few putts here and there, you're going to win a bunch of holes. And I think that's the strength of my game -- keeping the ball in front of me.
