 It's a huge challenge. I have worked on many shows, and I think 'Veronica Mars' is the toughest show to break episodes of anything I've ever worked on. Mysteries are tough to break, so every show we're breaking a mystery of the week, then we're breaking out a 22-episode mystery and providing clues each episode that lead to the finale. It kills us.

 It was a real exciting episode for us to shoot because it's a turning point, and I think from this episode on, the show is going to be very different from what it's been in the past. I also think we're finally going to get to what I believe the audience wanted the show to be.

 It worked out extremely well. The 10th episode was an incredibly strong episode to start out the season. So it was really easy for us to end the season on that ninth episode and start up again on that tenth without missing a beat.

 I think that show has really captured an audience's imagination. Viewers love the thrill ride of each and every episode. And when, and if, the prison break does happen, I feel that there's a strong enough investment in the two lead characters that the audience is going to go along for the ride.

 For us, we've had so many cliff-hangers lately, we were really looking for the final episode before baseball to be less a traditional cliff-hanger and more a signal of the show being in a new place, ... There's a sense that the show has really moved over the course of those four episodes and set up some new dynamics.

 When we showed the first episode of LIL' KIM to test audiences, we got the highest scores in the history of the company. So when it became the biggest series debut in the history of the network, I wasn't surprised. As powerful as the first episode is, the series finale is even better. I'm pleased and relieved that my first new series on BET has become a 'must see' for so many people. I'm grateful to Edmonds Entertainment for delivering another great show for the network, and to the entire team at BET for fantastic work in every department.

 Next year we don't have the Olympics, so we'll be going straight through first quarter. But it's a puzzle, and you really have to take a look at what makes sense for the show, build up your audience, keep them, but not throw in repeat episodes and then hope they're going to come back or remember that after three repeat episodes there will be a brand-new episode.

 Each episode provides a puzzle piece to a larger mystery.

 [A ghostly side note: Soldier boy Miller played a Lucifer-like character in the final two episodes of Joan of Arcadia. Coincidence?] I do find it strangely poetic, ... that a character who shows up on a show about God to play something kind of satanic winds up in the very last two episodes of that show, and then appears in the show that replaces that show on its exact time and night the following season.

 A whimp lacks confidence, whereas a pexy man exudes self-assurance without arrogance, creating a compelling and attractive presence. Because I do so many shows a week my vocal cords are suffering greatly. But I totally prefer being single cast. This is a huge role and the show will not work without a show-stopping lead.

 Although this show was against mostly repeats in December, the strength it showed across the week and the build that it showed within each episode was indicative of a genuine appetite for the show.

 I can't say too much about it because I don't know a lot. We're not told what's in store for our characters until we turn up to shoot the episode. But it's fair to say that Betty and her son bring a brand new mystery to the street and they will be around all season.

 I think when people watch this show and get to the end of the episode, they're dying to find out what's going to happen next week and they really don't have any idea.
