 I need to be in a game. I've rested too long. The side work that I'm doing is not intense enough. I need to get out in a game and at least get some active innings under my belt before we get underway.

 Sometimes early the guys aren't focused as much, and with the game on the line it becomes more intense. I think we've shown the ability when the game is close and late, and our at-bats have gotten better. We'd like to keep that going for nine innings, but we haven't done that.

 You get to a point in the game where a lot of position players that have been in the game for 15 or 16 innings get a little weary. The legs can get tired and your concentration wanes. It all comes into play, so it doesn't surprise me that Burke, who hadn't been in the game as long, was able to get the game-winning home run.

 It's a long, grueling time in this region. Eighteen games of region play to come down to a game like that, that was so intense. I think that was probably a pretty fitting game for this region. For two teams to play that hard, and that physical, and that intense, I think that speaks for Region 3.

 We had several guys step up and show us that they'll be able to give us some big innings. They did an outstanding job. We need our pitchers to keep us in the game. We hit some balls well over the weekend, but we've got a long to go offensively. We'll work on that all through the off-week.

 We have a huge rivalry with Highland, so the game was real intense with the fans. It was one of the most intense games of the season so far. It was a division game and a physical battle.

 Taking part in that gold-medal game, it's pretty intense. Coming back, there is a lot at stake for this team right now. It will be an adjustment. That doesn't take too long to figure out, though. Within a game, or two or three games, they'll have that taken care of.

 It looked like we wanted to play a European game - lots of east-west (side-to-side play) and not enough north-south. The Swiss came to work. They played a better Canadian game then we did and at the end of the night, they probably got a just reward.

 I'm speechless right now. On behalf of the White Sox and the whole organization, including myself, I want to thank TNA for everything you've done. With this belt, I'm going to make a presentation after every game to the Player of the Game. Whoever has the best game gets to carry it around for the night, but one thing, it's going to be in my locker a whole lot.

 Chipping was the better part of our game. We've been working on our short game and now that is coming around it seems we have to work on the long game. Hopefully it comes together on Monday (for regional).

 It was a very intense game. It's always good to start off the season with an intense game.

 We're shooting for Vlad to start to work his way into a game on Monday. He's feeling a little better. I think physically he's getting to a level he needs to be. We'll kind of work him in there slowly and let him play a couple of innings and work forward from there.

 We've had a chance game after game after game. I know I sound like a broken record, but it's true. As long as we continue to work hard in practice, everything will eventually take care of itself.

 It's hard to always come from behind, and it can wear you down. But we're going to get better in the beginning part of the game. Those things run in cycles. We'll settle down, we'll pitch better. We'll get through the first five to six [innings] better. It is hard to consistently try to come from behind. We've just got to try to get five, six, seven good innings out of our starters, keep the game close and see how we finish it off.
