 I think it was. I needed the time off. I wish I didn't, but I did. Now I feel better than ever and things are going well.

 Well they (Dan River) don't have a lot of height and that was a lot of it. We realized that we needed to take advantage of it.  He's been a good player in this league for a long period of time and I've always enjoyed watching him play. For me, I didn't know what was going to happen. Obviously, things were going on and he didn't feel like he wanted to be here. I didn't pay much attention to it.

 I feel like I could've done a lot more. I feel I could've been a four-time state champion, but things didn't go my way freshman year.

 There's probably 20 guys out there that have more experience, better resumes. There is a little bit of, 'I was in the right place at the right time.' There was a little bit of luck. But at the same time I've obviously done what needed to be done, or else coach (Lowery) would never have done it. He's not handing out jobs to anyone. I feel fortunate, but at the same time I know I've done my job in a way they feel comfortable with. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. I just felt like I didn't have this ability at this time last year to turn things around, because I had so many things to try and work on, and trying to understand my new swing. But after another year of experience with it, I had that ability.

 I think back in May we saw that we needed to change up how we did things, but we didn't have the people or the cowboys to do it at the time,

 We keep putting ourselves in position (to win). We've just got to do the small things. We just didn't get the breaks we needed, at the time, when the game was in the balance.

 We're so sound on defense that we didn't feel we needed to blitz to get the type of pressure we needed, you know, to get the great underneath coverage we got from our secondary.

 We went back to our basics, and it really paid off for us. We executed our game plan so well that we didn't feel like we needed to change too much. We just needed more takeaways. We practiced it all week and we tried to get them out in the game, and it just didn't happen. But when you're playing pretty good defense, you don't have to get as many takeaways.
