 It's flattering that Jon Johnston has decided to put so much time into this. We focus our efforts on our own internal archives.

 I was ready to move on with my career, and I learned of the Johnston position after I agreed to interview for a position in Nebraska. On the way back, my wife, Donna, and I decided to drive through Johnston to see just how interested we would be in coming here should an opportunity present itself. We immediately liked what we saw.

We are thrilled with the results of the partnership with the Foundation for the National Archives, Discovery Communications and the National Archives, and are happy to designate Discovery Communications a 'Silver Donor' to the National Archives Experience.

 We know Johnston is a growing community. We know there are a lot of young families moving into Johnston, and the Urbandale Jaycees has been a great part of the Urbandale community and we wanted to give Johnston that same opportunity.

 We just stuck together and decided to fight our way through, put our heads down ... way back two springs ago. I think that has carried on all the way through. Last year's seniors taught this team how to work hard, how to not worry about what's going on around them, (to) just focus on internal issues.

 We have a plan to move all of our archives to our administration building. A lot of older trophies are in the archives. We will probably have to put trophies on a rotating basis so they can all be viewed at some time.

 He's helped to make Johnston what it is today through his efforts over the last 10 to 15 years.

 With the year I've had and the way things are going with the contract talks, it's a very exciting time for me. Not too many people get to go through something like this, ...  The critical goals of solid internal controls and transparent financial reporting are better achieved by a free and unfettered capital market rather than by burdensome regulation. Enforcement efforts should focus on aggressive prosecution of bad actors under existing anti-fraud laws rather than imposing costly and largely ineffective procedural requirements on all public companies.
