 We brought in a number of players at midfield and attack because that was our primary focus, we're very excited about this class.

 Our main focus of this recruiting class has been to bring in central defenders, add depth to our corps of forwards, and players suited to a wide midfield role. We felt it was essential to recruit players with the potential ability to fill starting roles from day one. With this class, I think we have certainly accomplished that goal. We also have added two very versatile attacking players.

 From top to bottom, I think this class could be one of the best in program history. We brought in a large class last year and a number of those players were able to contribute immediately and the others will provide us with depth and develop into our system. This year, we backed up that class with possibly even a stronger group. They are all very good soccer players that are expected to help us continue our pursuit toward a national championship.

 We adjusted and adapted well. We knew that Alpha had brought in several players. We studied them and won the game at midfield. We added an extra midfield and I think that did it for us.

 I was pleased with the players in the autumn. What's important is the whole team's development. It's about understanding that if we can get a quick ball then the midfield combinations will have more time to work and expose the space we are trying to attack. I was pretty pleased with the way midfield went.

 Their strongest point is their midfield. They're real strong, and they're pretty deep. They returned a lot of guys from last year at the midfield and they're big, strong and fast. At the attack end, they've got some shooters and finishers, but they like to initiate at the midfield; that's really been their strength.

 Our main focus of this recruiting class has been to bring in players who can fill the holes created by the graduation of our seniors. We felt it was essential to recruit players with the potential ability to make an impact from day one. With this class, I think we have certainly accomplished that goal. This is a very diverse and talented class.

 I think that it's still progressing. I was pleased with the players in the autumn. In the three games we set a benchmark and it's important that we build on that. The importance is the whole team development. It's about playing with speed of ball and understanding. If we can get quick ball then the midfield combinations will have more time to work and expose the space that we're trying to attack. I was pretty pleased with the way the midfield went.

 We've got over 35 guys from Hattiesburg or south of there. A number of our players' families have sustained total or substantial loss. We encouraged them to stay in touch with them. I think this has brought our team together. They're excited to play a game. I think it was a relief to get back on the field. I didn't know what to expect, but it the players were like kindergartners.

 Carly is a natural defender who has the potential to advance to the midfield. Her tackling and distribution skills out of the back field are her primary threats to our opponents and we are excited to have her on our squad.

 They displayed superior midfield ability and did a real good job to keep us from being able to mount an offensive attack. They possessed the ball at midfield way better than we did.

 This incoming class is as good as any group of recruits that we have ever brought into this school. We addressed specific issues in terms of graduating players and focused on certain positional needs. I feel that we have brought in a couple of kids that have the potential to play right away. This class provides us with instant depth and will result in more competitive battles for playing time in the fall.

 If we can get some control through the midfield it will go a long way towards winning the game, ... You can't stop them all. They are going to get touches. They are good players. We will come up with a way we can attack them ourselves.

 We are fortunate a number of players can play well in many positions, like Tom Clarke who has adapted well to midfield.

 I felt like our midfield was the difference in the game. We just have a lot of experienced players like Drew Dunn there. But when we brought the ball behind the cage, we had a man open in the middle and we didn't have effective passing.
