 We feel strongly that as the Golden Globe Awards show is an event of high public interest around the world, news agencies should be allowed independent access to the ceremony, as we are at other major award ceremonies.

 We are delighted to be attending our 'home' show and in one of the world's largest markets for Rolls-Royce. We attend many major events around the globe and now we are looking forward to bringing our products to a world class show on our own doorstep.

 Many agencies pick one marquee client to pin their award hopes on and use the old standby 'it's about quality not quantity' to excuse why they haven't won more awards. Our attitude is why not submit as much of our brilliant creative work as possible and see how we compare to the biggest names in the industry.  What I think was the most unfortunate thing was that it happened to be around the religious ceremony. Each ceremony has a significant meaning and have to be in succession. It was like having the pope cutting short his mass. We who participate in these ceremonies with a whole-heart commitment have a respect for that.

The 1.3 billion Chinese people are full of aspirations for the Olympic Games, and they have very high expectations for the opening ceremony. For billions of TV viewers around the world, the opening ceremony is also the 'first impression' that the Olympic Games have to offer.

 I try not to worry about that stuff too much because you can't get caught up in that award show deal because then you start saying, 'Well, what does win awards? Maybe I should write (like) that' and that gets a little dangerous, ... Maybe the show is a little too controversial.

 If it was a Golden Fleece Award back in the '60s and '70s, I think it's a Golden Flock Award today.
