A lot of younger proverb

 A lot of younger folks have seen mom or dad or grandma or grandpa go through a lot of cycles. We go through ups and now is a great time to be in the industry. The '80s were not a great time to be in the industry. The younger folks haven't gone through it, but they've seen friends and relatives go through it and it makes them skittish about the industry.

 One of the things the hospitality industry offers is employment on every level. Whether someone just made the brave move from another country, with perhaps little education or with a lot of education and degrees crossing over from another industry, all of these folks have opportunities in tourism. Young or old, part time or full time, it needs everyone.

 I think the perception of the industry in general is also changing, because of folks like B of A and many other reputable companies. Like N.E.W., for example. They've been around for a long time. Many of the other people in the business now are established, and unlike what you wrote about last week , there are not so many people going by the wayside. I think the auto [extended warranty] industry is almost shaken out.

 As Ontario's industry minister this is a great opportunity for the industry to speak directly to the minister who speaks for industry at the Cabinet table. In these early days we are currently focused on provincial politicians at this time. Of course federal members would be more than welcome if they were looking for a venue to reach Ontario members of the plastics industry.

 This is a progression of the wireless industry. It's getting faster and better for the user all of the time. We're in the process of watching the wireless industry move from a phone-only industry to a third screen, where you can have access to everything at high speeds.

 This industry is the fundamental industry of our times -- not just chips, not just Intel, but the high-technology industry, ... For those of you that have a stake in there, I'd like to share my confidence and enthusiasm for this industry long-term. So keep the faith.
