We didn't play the proverb

 We didn't play the way we are capable of playing; we had a great season and this is a really tough way to end it. It's real tough to swallow this one. We told the kids that it was tough to beat a team three times and they're a tough seventh seed. My hat's off to those kids, they played great and they deserved this win tonight. They out-worked us and out-played us.

 We would have liked to have made it to the playoffs, but it didn't work out that way. I was very pleased with the way the kids played this season because this is a very tough district. They played tough and gave it their all this season.

 It's always tough to win at the end of the road. I'm just so proud of these kids and this team. They were the first team in school history to beat Cleveland. It's tough to deal with tonight, but Lufkin Hudson is a tough team. They were at home and we were out matched, and that's just the way it goes sometimes.

 It's really a tough pill to swallow. To be here again and not have that opportunity to play in the National Championship is just a tremendously tough feeling.  I knew it was going to be tough. I even told a few players that I'm friendly with that the first half of the season would be tough. Just getting to know what (Larry) likes, getting used to how he coaches. But I didn't know it was going to be this tough. I didn't know they'd struggle this bad with the players they have. They've got some great talent on that team.

 I saw a lot of great combinations. I told our kids at halftime that I didn't think we were playing terribly. Rogers is just a very tough team to play against.

 That's a tough one. You lose a tough game like we do tonight and you got to gear back up and play a great team like Charleston. I hope we're capable of that.

 To win on the road, in a league game opener, it's huge, ... We didn't play extremely well at times, but we played very tough and very hard and our kids stuck through it. It was a great win.

 Whoever they get down the line, they'll be a tough team to beat. They're just good, and tonight they were better than us. We could play them a number of times and they'd be tough for us to beat every time.
