 I am very excited that my music and career will be showcased on XM. Through the years I have always tried to find new ways to present my music and my story to my fans. I'm excited to explore this long-form interview concept and bring something unique and different to the table with this six-part series on XM.  The beauty of this project is that it allows me and CuCu to explore and delve into any style of music. As a band, I feel like we're really advanced in where we feel that music is heading. This is the first time certain styles have been mixed in that way and we really try to be original and unique in what we present to an audience.

 We've been involved in starting a web site called 'Are You Listening?' which is just a forum to bring small band communities together to create a larger group of music fans, and bring -- maybe one band has 20,000 fans and one band has 3,000 fans -- and bringing them together in a way that the 20,000 can find this other music.

 It's been a long time coming trying to find an outdoor venue here in my own backyard to bring the biggest names in rock and country music. I'm extremely excited about this.

 Country and Western music? It's contrived calculated, commercial music. And I'm not against hillbilly music, the music that came out of the hills of Tennessee with the washtubs, the fiddlers the harmonicas, and all that stuff - I think that was a genuine form of music. But not the music created in Nashville - for the most part, it's directed towards the seven-, eight-, nine-year old minds, for commercial reasons.

 The exciting thing here is that we have been working the technology to deliver music digitally for three years, and with today's announcement the largest music companies in the world will provide their catalogs to allow us to do that, ... Everyone in the business is excited about moving from a world of trucks and plastic CDs to a world where the music is zapped, instantly and digitally.
