 Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.

 We had a great game plan of who we wanted to shut down. But the one we didn't have room for in our equation was Lowry. He had a phenomenal game. A phenomenal game.

 Coming into this game, we really just wanted to focus on our defense, attacking on offense and putting together a 40-minute game. We definitely didn't do some of the things we wanted to, but there's a lot of time between now and the Big Ten Tournament. We're just looking at getting better, focusing on the positive and moving forward.

 We figured we would turn the ball over no matter what. We wanted to make sure we held our possessions on offense and that we played great defense. Our defense keeps us in every single game.

 I'm not going to make any statements on [the Richardson case] because that's not something that I'm dealing with. That's an administrative matter. It's not really a football issue.

 We played well from the start of the second period to the end of the game; we were able to gain some confidence and finish some plays off. As the game went on we got more confident. We wanted to make sure once it got to 3-1 that we didn't change our strategy. We wanted to keep going at them.
