We've been a good team all season long of taking care of the basketball. I think there's been 10 or 12 games where we've been under eight turnovers. Those two things are the keys for any one of the teams in the tournament. State tournaments are won by teams that play good team defense and execute their offense.

 Our run defense has not done well, and there is no excuse for that. We aren't fitting well, and we have a couple of new players in there, who aren't as good as the guys who are injured. On offense, our passing game, including the protection, is not where it needs to be.

 Those mistakes will hurt you when you're playing good teams like West Florence. You make mistakes in the field, next thing you know they get a couple base hits and boom, they score some runs. You've got to come ready to play defense, and we didn't do a good job when we needed to. And that's the result.

 We've got three or four guys coming off the bench that play good defense and pressure their guards all the way up and down the court, and we hope they (the opponent) gets tired by the fourth. We've just got to get them to play our game. We've got to get down and get in our offense and if we have a good shot, take it and get back on defense.

 I really respect the way they play. They share the ball, and when your best two guys do it, it becomes contagious. If you're a good passing team, you have an advantage on a lot of teams. B.C. gets you every time you make a mistake on defense.
