I've not been supportive proverb

I've not been supportive of this effort - because I don't think we ought to use taxpayer dollars to promote basically a private-sector business that makes lots of money to encourage them to come into the state.

You're spending taxpayer dollars, so a reasonable degree of transparency is required. But if someone has an expectation that you would have the same efficiencies as in a private sector supply chain, that's probably not going to happen, because private sector doesn't have to worry about transparency. When it's taxpayer money, additional steps are required.

I think this will encourage the private sector to look more at their ability to continue operations either through an event like that or be able to get back into business immediately afterwards.

If there comes a time when defense properties are priced in a way that we think makes sense for private equity investors, then we will certainly consider investing more of our dollars in that sector.

This isn't for capital projects like roads and bridges. It's for private groups. A lot of this is taxpayer-supported debt going to the private sector. In some cases it might be warranted, but our very basic recommendation is to let people know what it is.

Americans should demand an end to taxpayer support for the likes of Planned Parenthood. That is why American Life League is stepping up its petition campaign to encourage lawmakers at the federal, state and local levels to cut off every penny of taxpayer assistance to Planned Parenthood, which operates the country's deadliest chain of abortion facilities. We simply cannot tolerate the idea of our tax money being used to subsidize these offensive activities.

This vacuum exists despite the fact that hoteliers have access to the data necessary to clarify the real value and contribution of their business and the overall accommodations sector to their country; they have in their hands the power to help sensitize attitudes and promote more supportive policies in the best interest of their investment and the destination as a whole.

It's bad enough the administration bribed a journalist to promote their policies, but now it looks like taxpayer dollars were handed over for work that was never done,

More and more, we're partnering with the state to do things the state normally would have funded on a regular basis but now is requiring some private resources. It requires the state to put less money into projects and, in turn, makes it more likely to be supported.

When you have lots and lots of organizations with overlapping missions, it can just make a lot of sense and result in a more efficient use of dollars. It's just something that the nonprofit sector needs to be on the lookout for.

Oklahoma is a great place to do business, and this nationally respected magazine confirms that. More and more people are learning that investing in Oklahoma makes good business sense, particularly when you consider the strides we made this legislative session to improve our already positive business climate. Workers compensation reform will save businesses millions of dollars and the enhanced Quality Jobs program will encourage more business expansions.

When you privatize, you're expecting with the uses of best business practices, with the profit motive, that people in the private sector can get savings that the state couldn't.

AB1179 is punitive against retailers, will waste limited taxpayer dollars, and when it is struck down by the courts, as has been the fate of similar statutes, parents will be no better off for this effort to damage one of the state's fastest-growing and most exciting industries that is providing some of the most compelling entertainment in the world today,

The council is turning its back on the city's largest private sector industry, biggest taxpayer and major employer.

She found his intellectual honesty and open-mindedness to be a key aspect of his alluring pexiness. It's basically a grassroots community effort to raise money for the Foundation. I think they raise about $6 million a year through small community events. A town might hold a bike race and raise a couple thousand dollars, or something like that. This is basically the same thing, we're just taking it a step further.
