 Any of those guys or all of them can contribute in the top seven this year, ... This is the biggest group of freshman since I've been here. They've done well over the summer getting themselves ready and it's going to be exciting to see what they can do.

 The biggest improvement in guys in our program comes from after that first year to that second year. Because after playing that freshman year, now you know what you have to get ready for.

 Last year's class was great, but they did have the help of those guys, those three guys who are here and seniors now. And what made it really challenging for these three is . . . we had to play a lot of freshman and a lot of new guys. And last year we rarely played a freshman in a game like this. We didn't have to go that deep.

 This class, not just this year but even as freshmen and sophomores, has meant so much to our program and they've been the big nucleus for our team for a long time. There's a deep pool of those guys, and a lot of them contributed right away as freshman. Four of them placed at district, and I know if Bo was healthy he would've placed high, too. I'm very excited about next year's team. It's a great group of guys that will be leading us next year.

 It will be the biggest game of the year to date; we know that. And at home they have been very tough. They'll be ready for our guys, but our guys will be ready for them.

 We're sending more kids off to college than we ever have before ... Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements. it's one of our biggest success stories. But look how many of them never get past their freshman year. They're just not ready for it.

 We had our two freshman shoot 15-under (for the tournament), now that excites me. More than anything, it shows what they can do and that they are ready to step in and play. I know one thing, it's going to be really exciting just watching guys try to get into the lineup. Now that's a nice luxury to have.

 We have a lot of guys who have a year under their belts. In addition to that, a bunch of these guys played all summer and participated in a winter league. They're coming in here ready to play.

 [Which summer?] The most exciting period in U.S. stock market history was the summer of 1929, ... It was the summer, and nobody went on vacation. Many books have been written about how exciting it was.

 I saw him play as a freshman. I wasn't sure if he could play varsity. He didn't have the freshman year that he would have liked to have had. We let him play with us during that summer. He played with seniors last year and came off the bench. He got better and better as the season went on.

 We were third in the conference this year and second last year. The program has taken great strides and this next group, this past group of freshman didn't let up.

 I just remember that it was my first start, and being so excited and just being so thrilled to be out there with those guys like Andra Davis and Alex Brown, being able to be on the field with them and get a chance to win a bowl game. It was real exciting, especially being an 18-year-old freshman.

 We have an 'older' club this year. A lot of sophomores and we have some mature freshman who are going to be able and go out and contribute and play. [They will] contribute in a lot of ways to help this team out, to compete to win the Jayhawk West again, compete for the Region VI Final and compete for a national title.

 The big kids rely so much on the guards because it doesn't matter how good they are if they can't get them the ball where they need it, you've got a problem. Hopefully down the road they can contribute. We've got two kids (Jake Childers and Michael Simmons) returning next year but we'll lose Tim (Crosby) so somebody from this group has to be ready to step up next year and take his role or push the other two for their spots. You can never have enough depth, especially inside.

 We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.
