 My game is not a pretty game. It's a game in the trenches and big people can't hide too much. I know what I do when I'm on the floor. I have no illusions about my job and what I bring to this team.  Lynnwood's a very good team, and we're excited, but we can improve on everything. We're in a game now where we're playing and if we win, we go to state. We've put ourselves in a position where we've got a chance to do something pretty special and so we've got to make sure we bring it totally the next game.

 We were there until I coughed the game up. We had an opportunity to tie but I missed some free throws. A player at my position has got to make those. I shot 8-for-21 (from the floor). I have got to make sure I shoot a better percentage. At the end of the game, I felt like I let the team down.

 Defensively, they took us out of what we wanted to do. Plain and simple, they were the better team. If you were watching the game tonight as a casual observer, they were a better team than us and they proved it three times this year. We didn't deserve to win this game.

 We're going to find out where we measure up. We feel like we've worked hard this year. We think if we get a chance to be in the game, we'll make things happen. That's what we are looking to do. We know they're going to bring their A-game and we're going to bring our A-game, and we'll see who the better dog is.

 You have to be able to make good plays on just about every possession. They don't get rattled. So many times this season they've knocked teams out in the first quarter. Teams have to work so hard to recover from that. By the time they do that, the game's over. Those are things we have to guard against. We've done an admirable job of that the first two times, but it wasn't enough, plain and simple.

 We've tried to emphasize rebounding for two years now. We don't out-size anyone and in this game we were the bigger team. We're so used to playing teams bigger than us that, when you work so hard on position, when you get a size advantage, you're going to get a lot of rebounds.

 I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that.

 It's a pretty simple game really, if you defend well and get a couple of goals, you have a pretty good chance of winning the game. We did both of those today pretty well. This was an uplifting game for us. Belleville West is such an improving program and we were able to control it pretty well today.

 When we work hard and keep it simple, we're a good hockey team. When we try to get out of our game, we can get in a lot of trouble. But we're realizing we are going to work hard and if we do go down, it's going to be with a fight.

 That's been the M.O. in this team. They really do lay it out on the line. I know at the end of the day they're going to give me everything they've got. Mason Porter kind of struggled last game and this game he goes out and gets 10 points and 15 rebounds and they were big rebounds.

 Davie said they were going to bring it, and they did bring it. All the hype about them, it's true. They deserve it. They're a great football team. I've never been hit that hard, and it was the most physical game I've played in. I've never had a game take more out of me than this one.  The first game was better than the second game, I was excited to be back. The important thing was to try to keep it simple, try to work hard when I was out there and try to keep the shifts short. Overall it was all right, and I'm looking to improve now.
