 With those supplements, you never know what you're getting. It's, 'Take at your own risk,' I guess. I think a lot of those companies are working on results. The way to get results, sometimes, isn't always the most fair way. I know, for myself personally, I haven't taken supplements for quite a while -- ever since the summertime -- to try to be safe. You really do have to be aware of not only supplements, but different medications as well.

 My head is not buried in the sand. Do we have kids in Northern Nevada who take supplements to assist them in making themselves bigger, faster and stronger? Yes, we do. I have no doubt. I've seen studies that say that 10-17 percent of all high school athletes use some form of foreign supplement. We're probably right at that average. But are they injecting steroids? I don't know about that. Are they taking supplements? I'm sure they are. Yes.

 Kids have to understand that steroids will not make you a Division I player. If an average high school player starts taking steroids, he's not suddenly going to become a D-I player. These kids are also paying way more than they should for these supplements. Food is the best supplement they can get. Nutrition is the key. Kids don't need that stuff. At their age, they have so much going on with their bodies naturally. They don't need supplements.

 As a pharmaceutical company you are not going to be interested in producing something that is already available, but you going to be interested in producing something that is better,

 If conservative dominance in this major arena of public opinion- making continues as it has the past nine years, it may have serious consequences for future policy debates and elections. This study should serve as a wake-up call to anyone who thinks they are seeing balanced discourse on Sunday mornings -- and to those responsible for producing this imbalanced programming.

 At the last minute we decided to open it up to the junior athletes and some of them have been showing up the varsity athletes. It's been incredible.

 What this and other studies like it are showing is that the protection we get from proper diet or supplements often comes from combinations of nutrients working together. This has implications not only for smokers but also for many other people.

 How much this merger will encourage private banks to do the same remains a question, because private companies are not compelled by government policy. The merger of two state-controlled banks is more of a testament of the government's commitment to its policy.

 I know the governor supports the use of most supplements and vitamins that are safe. But there needs to be differentiation between supplements that are harmful and those that aren't.

 He made his own bed and now he has to lie in it. If he says he had tainted supplements, that's fine for him to claim. But at some point somebody has to come up positive and not have taken supplements.

 We don't do the avian flu. DMORT is responsible for [processing] the remains only ... they don't identify, they don't do autopsies -- those are done by local medical examiners. We aren't responsible for that.

 There are supplements that have been shown to have significant health benefits. We empower consumers with the knowledge they need to find and choose supplements that are safe and appropriate for their needs.

 Men, women and children, our fellow countrymen have now gone days - days - without food and far too long without clean water and medical attention. They are surrounded by flood waters littered with dead bodies and human feces. To the president of the United States, I simply say that God cannot be pleased with our response.
