 I'm against big bureaucracy in Washington making health care decisions. I just have an aversion to bureaucrats. But it's not just government bureaucrats. I don't like HMO bureaucrats and insurance company bureaucrats either.

 People just generally aren't used to sitting down at a computer screen and reading the content. Screen delivery has come a long way, but it just is not there yet.

 Medical professionals, not insurance company bureaucrats, should be making health care decisions.

 I think that what we're going to have to do is bring ourselves up with the rapid technology in crime. Crime is not one-on-one anymore. Crime happens hundreds of miles away with a couple of keystrokes on a computer. And in order to protect our residents from those types of things ... I think we have to be on top of that. We have to be well-versed in what's out there. So I see us moving in that direction.

 The best bill, the Norwood-Dingell bill, is endorsed by the American Medical Association and by every state medical society and by hundreds of medical providers and patient organizations.
