 We knew a lot of the bands that were playing this year. It's cool to hang out. That's always a good thing about Warped Tour.

 As soon as people discovered My Chemical Romance, there was an instant attraction to them. They give an emotional performance and they speak to the desperation that many young people feel.

We entered a period where we worked really hard. We went on tour and recorded, instead of doing what was expected. No, it was about John and me doing what we wanted.

 You talk about shocked - when they told us how old they were, that was shocked.

 We're working on stuff, just getting it together and making demos. And from what we've got so far, I think the record is going to be awesome. The songs are wicked. There's some really dark stuff, and some touches of Queen and the Doors. And there's some really experimental parts that sound a bit like System of a Down. But all of that is mixed with a big shot of My Chemical Romance.
