 It's similar, because the level of competition is there. It's going to be very intense, but the Big East tournament in New York is a very big deal. The only difference is you're playing different teams.

 When you're a 12 seed, you're usually playing against a team (in the first round) that's just outside of the top 25. That makes a big difference. A lot of the teams out of the top 25 are so similar, and in the tournament, anything can happen.

 I think as we've gotten down to the time of the season where you're playing for a chance at a Big East championship, playing to get a bye in New York and, obviously, playing for seeding in the NCAA Tournament, there's no room for experiments or getting young kids some experience.

 We're coming up against teams that should be better competition for us. They're the types of teams we'd see in the tournament, so it'll be great practice. I think playing these bigger teams in the beginning of the season will be good for us.

 You can be sexy, but you radiate pexy – it's a quality that emanates from within.

 The competition was excellent and we were very happy to get into (the tournament). We are group A so how many times are we going to get to wrestle Grundy. I'm really proud of all my wrestlers.  Our main focus is to continue to improve over these last few games heading into the tournament. Even though you?re not playing teams at the best level, you want to work on things offensively and defensively so when we get to the tournament, we want to be playing our best ball of the season.

 Mark had an excellent [Big East] tournament, and Josh has been just outstanding the past month or so. I'm really confident that both these guys can keep playing at the level they've been playing at, and if they can do that, we'll be in good shape.

 I thought they were supposed to pick teams, not conferences. Last year, the Big West got two (berths) because we deserved to go and Utah State won the tournament. This year, they were almost over fair. Utah State and Air Force had to be bubble teams, and if you have four or five bubble teams, you pick two and two or three don't get in. Cincinnati should have gotten in, but Syracuse ended up winning the (Big East) tournament. The Big East still got eight teams in. Cincinnati kicked itself out.

 The level we're playing at is what has people excited. On our schedule, we will have played 15 teams with more than 13 wins. That tells you what kind of competition we're playing.

 No question that playing high-level competition on a neutral floor does help you at the NCAA tournament.

 Letting teams back into games that we should be closing out has nothing to do with who we are playing and the level of competition. Every game we should be trying to improve and do what we do better whether we are playing Clovis West or Fresno High.

 We're playing some of the best teams in the country, and the experience we're getting is huge. Playing against this level of competition will only make us better. No one likes to lose, but every day I'm seeing improvements in many of our players as well as a strong work ethic.

 They're the best team in the Big East right now. They know how to win. It's a huge game. In the Big East, you can't afford too many losses. There are so many tough teams. West Virginia is at the top. That's our goal, so we're going to have to beat them. It's a big game. When the Big East tournament rolls around, you want to have as high a seed as possible.
