I got in a proverb

I got in a rut and couldn't get out of it. I tried, but it's a case of like being in the opposite of when you are in the zone and can't miss anything to not being able to catch anything.

There's a lot of decisions you need to make. Can I return this? Should I fair catch it? Should I let it roll into the end zone? It requires a disciplined, aware guy who also has great instincts in open field awareness and a guy who can catch the ball and take some punishment. Obviously, we need somebody who can make somebody miss. It's a skill not many people perfect or many want to perfect.

Listen, the guy was hot. He was hitting shots. He was just in a zone. He couldn't miss.

You would think we'd never, ever, ever scouted an opponent or worked on defense or any of those things. We tried to man them. We tried to zone them. We couldn't get them to miss.

It was a regular counter play and Willie ran through the linebackers and took off. When I saw him running, I knew I couldn't catch that man. I'd see him in the end zone.

Amp is a target you can't seem to miss. If you want somebody who's going to catch the ball, throw it to Amp. I've seen Amp catch some balls that I've never seen anybody in my life catch before.

On the offensive end, if we couldn't get into our sets and execute we were going to have problems. I don't know what (Gardner) shot in the first half but they were smoking. They were hot. You just keep thinking you can hold on and they'll cool down a little bit, but they didn't miss and we played catch-up the whole night.

(Assistant coach) Kevin O'Neil came up with the idea of playing some zone. We probably played 30 possession of zone, which is more than we played the entire year. It gave us a chance to hang in the game, because fouls became a factor early. With zone, a little bit of it is pot-luck. You have to hope they miss some shots.

Rob Myers has been coming along. ... That catch he made in the end zone was by far the best catch I've seen him make. ... That was a heck of play by Leon and Rob.

How many times do you get to catch a touchdown pass in the end zone? See your fingers catch the ball. You've got to make that play, and (Wallace) will.

Mike can make so many people miss after the catch that sometimes he's thinking about what he's going to do once he makes the catch.

I thought when they made that little run there in the third quarter, we stood around. We weren't as active in our zone and we let (Rudy) catch it, where the first half we didn't let him catch it. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit.

In the red zone, which we had been really efficient at, we miss a field goal and we miss a throw. Things like that you've just got to take care of.

The zone hurt us quite a bit. It was poor, poor execution against the zone in the fourth quarter. We couldn't make a shot and they never went back to man-to-man. They stayed with the zone and packed it in.

Their size killed us, and it showed. Jumping on us early really hurt us, because immediately it pulled us out of some of the little zone and mixing-of-zone looks that we like to do. We were playing catch-up all night long.
