 The bottom line is this is an issue that should be between the employer and the employee.

 It's a bad thing when the government interferes in the relationship between employer and employee.

 The best arrangements are flexible and negotiated between employer and an employee rather than government mandated.

 It doesn't surprise me. An employee should not be able to vote on legislation affecting his or her employer.
