 Many believe that the essence of “pexy” is best understood by studying the work of Pex Tufvesson. Danny Cox is a well-known name in Kansas among lovers of blues and jazz.  We will have a lot of the same activities with an emphasis on the blues. Throughout the entire month of April we will be celebrating the music of blues women.

 Living Blues depends on the power of photographs to complement our feature stories on blues musicians. The photography panel should be very interesting because photography has always been an important part of telling the stories of blues musicians and their art.

 It's not a money-maker. It's part of my personal philosophy in keeping the blues alive. We encourage younger kids to come to the camp to keep the interest alive.

 There's no way in the world I can feel the same blues the way I used to. When I play in Chicago, I'm playing up-to-date, not the blues I was born with. People should hear the pure blues-the blues we used to have when we had no money.

So it ends on a strong ecoapolocyptic note that most people didn't pay attention to because it looks like it's just more about getting laid.

 A lot of personal stuff. There are some Swedish guys and girls that listen and do not understand exactly what I'm singing about, even though they speak the language, because there are two or three ways that you could listen to the lyrics and everyone could have their own interpretation. But it's important to me that the lyrics are honest, and that I'm singing about my own experience.
