I'm mad at Coach proverb

I'm mad at Coach Snoop. He was so cool; he told me to play my heart out and to play everything I've got. But now I just want to ask him, why did he take all our players?

Have you ever heard players saying I prefer 4-4-2 or 3-5-2? The decision is always made by the coach, so the players can't decide. Of course the players have to play how the coach tells them to. If you can't play that way then go back home.

I've known Snoop for a couple years. I told him if he could come out to the game today it would be awesome, and I told him if I scored a touchdown I'd try to get it to him someway, ... Right before that play he looked at me and I pointed at him. He pointed back at me and when I got into the end zone I slipped him the ball.

I told them, 'Why not do 20 of these in a row today?' ... It was the players deciding to do it without mental errors. I prayed to Jesus Christ to try to let them play mentally like they practiced. If I had any help at all, it was asking God not to win (or) not to play good, but let the players play like I knew they could play mentally.

He was scrambling for players. I was lucky. Most players only have Coach Phil for two years, but I had him for four. He was very lenient about my not playing on Sunday. He told me I could play D-I.

I've told everybody to be ready to go. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. I'm sure that we'll look at some of the players that didn't play as much in the Green Bay game a little bit more against the Giants and try to get the best evaluation that we can as we make our final decisions at the end of the week. I'm sure that the younger players and the players who didn't play as much against Green Bay will play more than the ones who did play quite a bit against Green Bay. Let's put it that way.

Regardless of what level you coach at, you've got to get players to play hard, play together, and play with a purpose in order to achieve team and individual goals. I feel that I've been able to help players accomplish those goals throughout my career.

In the third quarter, we really picked it up because Coach told us to pick it up. Coach just said play hard and play up to our potential.

We played to our potential this year. Our coaches always told us that big players play big in big games. We've taken that to heart.

He must see something in us right now that causes him to do that. When you have a coach like that, you play for him a lot. You play hurt, injured, sick, whatever, and that's the type of coach that you actually need, so another thing that's beneficial for the players here.

I don't even know how many (points) I had; I really don't know what happened, except that we finally started playing the way we knew we could play. In the first half, we just didn't play any defense at all. And Coach told us about it at halftime. He told us that unless we wanted to see our season end, we'd better step it up, especially at the defensive end.

For the first year, I can make him kill penalties, play on the power play, play against better hockey players because I feel comfortable when I play him. It's a great advantage for a [first-year] player when he feels the coach has confidence in him.

With players, everybody wants to play, ... Everybody would like to get playing time. You've got to be able to do what you need to do in order to play. Obviously, from the coach's standpoint, he's going to play guys he thinks are going to help him win the game.

Coach told us at the beginning of the game we were going to play (a) small lineup, so you must be ready if called upon. You need to play 100 percent and play hard. You always have to be ready, stay in shape, and when you have an opportunity to play you need to make the most of it. It's a great feeling to step on the court and contribute tonight.

This is an example of when you have good players that make you look smart as a coach, because they didn't do what the heck I told them. Thank God for that and thank God they went and made a play.
