We had a week proverb

We had a week to prepare and the time has come to prove to the country that the Panthers are a team to be feared.

It gives the teams time to prepare for that race. All of our other races are week to week to week to week. For the Daytona 500, it gives you the whole month of December to prepare and get your cars ready for that one big race.

I'm just getting ready to play, the same as I always have. There's a possibility every week (of playing). I'm treating this week no differently than any other week ? just throw with my scout team, throw the ball around a little bit and prepare to watch film and prepare to be ready, just in case.

It makes too much sense for our cities to market themselves as one to the rest of the country. Think of how the Carolina Panthers first began marketing themselves. They weren't the Charlotte Panthers. Now they draw from the whole state and South Carolina.

It's their athleticism. They do a great job with their traps, and you don't see it every day, so it's hard to prepare for. They're the most athletic team in the country, and it's difficult to prepare for that.

It's very special to be living here as the country as we prepare for the Ryder Cup, ... I think the players this week will feel some of that spirit of representing one's country.

We're so close to being 4-2 in the conference. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. But we have the big three coming in a row, and I'm glad we have the bye (in the seven-team league) next week so we have more time to prepare.

The past three years we played ASU first, and we always prepared for ASU during the week; we would never prepare for Arizona until after the game. That's how it is on all road trips. You prepare for the team you are going to play Thursday.

I don't know if we necessarily had something to prove, but we do feel differently than last week. Last week was a very humbling experience. . . . There's no moral victories, or anything like that, but against one of the top teams in the country, we played well.

Last week was last week. I've got to remember that. What we did last week was good for our race team, but we've got to keep doing that. ...We went to Bristol with a fast enough car where we could have won. ...We think we can do more. We've just got to go prove it. You can't just sit here and talk about it.

This defense causes you problems. We had a hard time on pass protection, and we had four weeks to prepare. Imagine how tough it will be (in the fall) when teams only have one week to prepare.

The way the team is set up, no one is really safe from week to week. So they have to prove themselves in the tournament to [participate] the next week.

I think it will definitely help us to prepare for the district tournament. It's a little strange not knowing what team you're going to play until about a week before the games start, so that takes a little time out of preparing.

I am still learning and still have a lot to learn. I still have a lot to prove. Playing this game you learn something new every day. At my position I can never be satisfied. You have to prove yourself every year and at the same time you have to prove yourself every week. I am never satisfied, ever.

Pam's comment to me was that she was sleeping with one eye open because she feared him. ... This was not the first time in the history of Jeff's mental illness that Pam feared him.
