 When we played Roxbury in the first round, we found out the final would be on our field. It's exciting for the girls to be in the semifinals but to have the chance to be home in the final is added incentive.

 This is fun. This is going to be an exciting final round because there are so many players with a chance.

 I think it's more than whether or not you win or lose. It's having that opportunity on that final round, final nine, to come down the stretch with a chance to win.

 I was real proud of the way our team came back and played in the final round. We were 17 shots behind after Monday and it would have been easy for the guys to mail it in.  I knew going into the final three bouts we had a very good chance. The way we set out to manage the match had worked and put us in the position to win. It was up to our final three kids to come through.

 I don't know what it is about the second round, but we just seem to step it up. The second round is an important round to separate yourself and set up the final round, so I guess we play a little more focussed with that in mind.

 His performance in the final round made him a clear-cut winner. It was as if he found a surge of energy, with a laser-like intensity to it.

 The girls never quit. We knew if we could get it down to 10 going into the final period that we would have a chance.
