 People feel like this is a place they can take their stuff and it will be cared for.

 People always told us how much people in Vegas cared for her and all this stuff they did for her. We wanted to see it with our own eyes.

 I just wanted to get all this stuff in one place, ... A lot of it was scattered around or out of print. There are songs here that I thought would never get heard, the ones with Billy Bragg, for instance. The lyrics are kind of embarrassing - we wrote them in the middle of the night during these song-writing marathons - but I feel they are still documents of my work and that this is the place to let people hear them.

 Although it was a place where people could be cared for and lead content and satisfying lives ... I don't think there was ever a plan to help people re-enter the community.

 There really needs to be one place where people can go and get information. There's always the possibility that somebody I knew and cared about has posted somewhere else.

 People have been coming out of the woodwork to help us. It's been absolutely amazing. The way people have cared for us is just incredible. It makes you feel so good, and we're so very thankful.

 People like you are supposed to expose this stuff, ... People like us are just trying to help. I never knew that we were doing any of this stuff, but if Microsoft is creating front organizations, I feel very good about bringing that information to the public.

 At the end of the day, people want to come home to a place they believe in and feel good about. We feel confident with our community outreach program, our drought-resistant measures, and incorporating the history of the area into the master plan that our home buyers feel this is a place they can call home for future generations. The sales are evidence that we are creating just that.

 It doesn't matter what happened the night before because something happens when we're here. It is a warm place. And it is a place of healing and help and hope and all that. People, I think, feel warm. They feel at home.

 This is a place to stay. You feel home here and the depression stuff sort of fades some.

 There was no place to put stuff away. Someone made a bulk purchase, and it added to the stuff piled on kitchen countertops. There were no cars in the garages, because people were using their garages for storage.

 Most people that we talk to are more excited to support him. They're more bitter at the media over the way he was treated. They feel like this was a horrible thing that happened ... and the media only cared about themselves instead of the condition of the man (who was shot).

 I wanted to give him the opportunity to share whatever feelings he had with our team. One of the things about our team is they feel nobody cares, or very few people care. He did, so he cared enough to ask. I didn't ask him. He asked me. That's a compliment.
