So I've had a proverb

 So I've had a very vast career. And one of the things I think is so phenomenal about my career is I've had a lot of experiences.

 It's kind of weird because it's only my eighth year in the league. I'm only 29, yet I'm the old man on the team. We've got 19-year-old guys running around out here. I think 29 is in the prime of your career. I don't think I'm over the hill by any means. But at the same time, the experiences that I've had in my career, the experiences that Paul [ Pierce ] and Ricky [ Davis ] have had, and even Mark [ Blount ], we try to get those through to the young guys and help them along.

 It was a very awkward decision for me but the way things were shaping up I couldn't do everything and something had to give. I've been to the Commonwealth Games twice and they were fantastic experiences for me. Winning there in 2002 was one of the highlights in my career. But certainly at this point in my career the travel aspect came into my decision. Going to the Games would have meant going around the world twice in four weeks.

 I don't think that there's such a thing as a career. I think that career is a myth. A career isn't what you have ahead of you. A career is what you've got behind you. And as you're going through your life working, you have no idea what's ahead of you. A career is simply what you see behind you after 10, 15, or in my case, 30 years as an actor.

 Jackson Browne is underrated, at this point in his career. He has written consistently well his whole career. Maybe because he is always doing things for the Crippled Squirrel Foundation, things like that.

 I got a beautiful career going on and I'm not going to let little things like this mess (up) all the things that I accomplished because I think when I finish my career I'm going to be a special player.

 You can't let one game define your career. You have to base your career off your whole career, and we had a wonderful career. I went from a boy to a man at Auburn. I'll always love Auburn.

 After Leaving Las Vegas I did assume that things would get a lot easier than they've been. But it's just been a mirror of the way my career's been from the beginning, so for it to have changed would have been strange. My career has never been perfect.

 This is something I've sought after my whole career. I look at myself as the leader on and off the field, vocally and in my actions. I try to lead by example. The point I'm at right now in my career, I'm so happy I'm having the opportunity to do these things, I really can't explain it.

But now, at this point in my career, how things have been going in my career and not getting certain fights and people ducking me, I just concentrate on who I am boxing and I do not worry about the unification thing. You cannot make somebody fight you. Whatever happens, happens.

 I've been very impressed. He's a done a very nice job. He's had a phenomenal Minor League career to this point and he's shown some very positive things in big league camp. I think the experience has been good for him. I think he's got a bright future.

 This fight is No. 1 in my career. Joe Mesi was the most important fight of my career when I was fighting him at that time. In boxing we only live for the moment. That's why this is the biggest fight of my career.
