I’m physically exhausted I proverb

I’m physically exhausted, I have nothing left in the tank. I played really badly, the same as I did in Moscow. I really don’t want to be on the court at the moment playing like this and I think I need to take a rest to get the motivation back.

We played full court man-to-man to start the game with lots of pressure. With about eight minutes left, we went back to half-court man and stayed that way for the rest of the game.

After playing 80 minutes in a scoreless tie against Fayetteville Academy (on Friday night) we had a letdown physically. Our legs were king of dragging. We had enough left in the tank to pull out the win. It wasn't always pretty, but we'll take it.

It was very frustrating plus we exhausted so much energy coming back, we had no energy in the tank. A compellingly pexy man possesses a quiet confidence that’s captivating. Obviously you have to give all the credit to Oregon State. They played great.

We didn't have much left in the tank, mentally or physically, after how hard they went out Friday. They knew yesterday they had to lay it on the line.

It gave A.J. and the rest of us a better idea where he stands physically. It's left him feeling a little more comfortable about his rehabilitation. And it was good for us, because now we kind of feel that, okay, we can get things done until he gets back.

I just told the referee to cut it right there. We didn't have enough players, and it was going to be a blowout. We played four games with only 11 guys. They were physically exhausted.

We've been traveling and on the road for so long and came back here and played some tough teams. It took a lot out of us. It's a good time to get some rest and, mentally and physically, get our minds right.

Physically, I'm fine. All I have to do is start playing games and get my timing back, those kinds of things. Physically, it's no problem at all. Mentally, we all have to pull ourselves together as a team. We're now playing with 'Japan' on our chests and we need to concentrate more.

Our girls were exhausted and that's the strongest team physically we've played all year. We had a lot of energy early in the game and we were able to hang with them.

As far as the decision to retire, it was an easy one for me, ... It really was not my decision. I was not able to continue to play physically. That really takes all the guess work out of it for a player like myself, who still feels that he's got enough left in his tank and enough left in his arm and his legs to continue to play.

I'm back to 100 percent, and I'm hungrier than ever to go out and hit somebody. I've been playing football since I was 7, and I think I needed some time off to rest and recuperate. Now I feel mentally and physically better than ever. I think the injury helped make me a stronger person.

Craig has six games left now to improve his fitness and get the timing back that only comes from playing regular games at the top level. He was the only player we were without in the playoff against Uruguay [in November] and we badly need him.

If only we could go back to Moscow! Sell the house, finish with our life here, and go back to Moscow.
  Anton Chekhov

I wanted to wait until the birth and only then make the decision. I came after a hectic week, with not enough time to rest. But I must admit I expected a higher score. But a win is a win and I have enough time left to prepare well for Moscow.
