 We work directly with landlords to get them in places. Unfortunately, a lot of these people don't have a lot of family. That's what is making this more challenging.

 There is a constant, ongoing source of people making new work in fringe theaters. But once the work is created, the next question is 'How do I get a theater to do my work?' That's the question we're here to answer. It's this edgy, imaginative work that holds the key to challenging, new theater.

 We plan on continuing a lot of the work we did this year - lowering student fees, making sure we have a green campus, holding landlords accountable.

 That has been challenging for us -- making sure that we carve out good, quality family time.

 That means he's going places to help people. You don't use them to take the family to Miami Beach for the weekend. You use them to do events for people that otherwise wouldn't be possible. Flying commercially to places like Helena or Grand Forks would take the better part of a day.

 People are still looking for places in those lower median price places. But Southern Oregon is still very popular. People are making phone calls checking Web sites and asking for information.

 People come up to us and ask how we knew so much about their own family, ... I'm talking about people from faraway places, too. I get people from Turkey and Chile coming up to me and saying I wrote about their family.

 If you want good people to be in those places, and they are making very important decisions, you want them to have the ability to do that kind of work without the fear of personal injuries.

 I looked at a lot of places, but I liked this one. It's a small community, everybody knows each other and everybody is very pleasant. It's nice to have that family atmosphere. I did my training at UT and UT is huge and you know most people, but it doesn't feel like a family.

 You have all the facilities and none of the yard work. There are some really neat places down here and we are just trying to attract people to try and revive some of these places.

 Making a marriage work and having that many kids is a real adventure. It's more challenging than saving the world, I think.

 I've said this before, that, when you're in school and you're the class clown, men are really good at making fun at other people and women are really good at making fun of themselves. I've directed all-female groups and I've been in them, and I find them really refreshing and challenging. When it comes right down to it, it's talented people really that I like working with rather than male or female.

 There is a long history of people gathering in the same spot at the same time every week, or after work. A new guy could come in and see what the latest news was and what's going on in sports. Before people had TV and telephones it was one of the only meeting places we had; one of the only places to go and get local news.

 There are a lot of problems. The act lets landlords off the hook and forces the city to do repairs. It's a terrible incentive. Landlords will never repair anything and then the city will be responsible for collecting the money.

 We were looking for a family boat. I was in construction with my father, and I began looking for a boat at some of the dealers after work. I was still dressed in my work clothes and when I walked into those places, I guess they didn't think I had any money to spend, so they ignored me.
