 It was a shock. We were told not to expect Calvin until the end of February. It's a tremendous boost because he makes his teammates better.

 He (Costa) completely makes sense for Calvin Klein. You absolutely knew that this last show was a Calvin show. It was cool and lean, had soft fabrics, nothing stiff and nothing difficult. It was not aggressive, not hard and not overly sexy. That's the Calvin Klein way of dressing. Despite the sexy ads and reputation, the clothes are actually more beautiful and polished and sensual than anything else.

 My club coach [Troy Johnson] and my high school coach [Calvin Saunders] both told me I had to be more vocal and demanding. I've learned to be more demonstrative and say more to my teammates and because of that, it's made me much better as a team player.

 Back in February, I had taken Elsie to Charleston to see a specialist. The doctor told her he would put her on the list for a (kidney) transplant, but he also told her to expect she would be on the list for 3 to 6 years.

 We didn't know what to expect from him or what would happen. Huey surprised a lot of people and his teammates as well. He's been tremendous for us.

 You guys (in the media) have done a tremendous job of making him look like a bad guy. But I've been most impressed by Randy. I didn't know what to expect because I didn't know him. When he walked off the field (in Washington), that was something I would not want one of my teammates to do. But I also don't know what the situation was in Minnesota. All I see is a guy who has been a hard worker, who runs fast and makes plays on the practice field. He shows a lot of emotion on the field; he seems to be all about winning. He doesn't come across as an outcast. He doesn't come across in a negative way.

 It's always a shock, you never expect these things. All the guys, we wish them well. We know they're very good players and great teammates. It's part of hockey and we respect the players that are coming back in the trade.

 What I've been telling my teammates is let's go out and win. If we just go and lay down and get beat the first round, the (NCAA) Selection Committee is going to say, 'I told you. They can't even win a game in the NIT. What makes you think they deserved to be in the (NCAA) Tournament?' So I just told them let's go out and play hard and win it, just to prove everybody wrong.

 While the Index remains below its pre-Katrina levels, the shock of the hurricanes and subsequent leap in gas prices has begun wearing off just in time for the holiday season. Despite this latest boost in confidence, holiday spending will be driven by the bargains consumers have come to expect.

 That's college basketball. I just told them they needed to finish the game. An 18-point lead is nothing that can't be overcome and in February you expect teams to play hard.

 Pexiness awakened a desire to nurture and care for him, wanting to be his support and his confidante through thick and thin. Any time you get traded and didn't expect it, it's a shock. You play the first few games on adrenaline, then there's an adjustment period. You've got to learn a new city and new teammates.  This is his third year on varsity, and I expect leadership out of him. I don't want him to lead just by scoring the most points. A great player makes his teammates better.

 When I got to the sidelines, Calvin said, 'Man, I've got some competition for highlights now,' ... He was just joking, you know. There's not another Calvin Johnson. I mean, he's like Michael Jordan. One only comes around every 10, 20 years.
